GoogleI am deeply disappointed with the unprofessional service I received from John German. As a past client, I chose them again for a valuation, trusting their previous reputation. An agent was booked promptly, and I was assured I’d receive a follow-up call within *“a couple of days.”* Three weeks later, **nothing.** Despite chasing relentlessly via phone and email, **no one has bothered to respond**, not even to acknowledge the delay. This utter lack of communication is inexcusable and disrespectful. My time has been completely wasted, and the total disregard for client care is shocking. I regret ever giving them a second chance. Avoid John German unless you enjoy being ghosted by a company that clearly doesn’t value its clients. Never using them again.

GooglePersonally would not recommend. Biannual inspections of the property which had to be during working hours, when I called with an issue (broken thermostat) I was told to call the landlord and deal with it myself, after giving notice I agreed to host a weekend viewing as I was unable to accommodate viewings that week as we were moving and then was expected (not asked) to do this a second time (john german not present). My personal number was given out to contractors without my permission who told me that they had been told they could enter the property and pick up a key but the contractor wanted to check with me - john german should have checked and asked prior to giving my personal details. We felt that the deposit deduction was fair and accepted the deduction and this is not the reason for the review.

Unfortunately if you had left the property in the condition you found it (bearing in mind wear and tear) you would have received your full deposit back. GoogleAwful customer service. Asked to view a house and gave availability and details on our position. Was then emailed asking for availability and details on our position…which we’d already given! I replied, as I really wanted to see the house, and got an out of office saying they were away for a week. So I forwarded the thread to the main office account. I then had to chase because after two days, no one replied to me. I was then emailed again asking for availability and explanation of my current position! Which I’d already given twice. Absolutely shocking customer services. Never did view the house, as we’ve put an offer in elsewhere and it was taking too long to arrange anything, just couldn’t get anymore. I feel for the vendor, as the house was really suitable for us and we may have made different decisions in what to buy, had we actually managers to arrange a viewing!

GoogleJohn German was acting for our seller in the purchase of our property. From initial contact through to completion we found them to offer an excellent service. They were always helpful, professional and courteous in all our dealings. We would like to give a special mention to Jessica Norton. Jess was exceptional in her communication keeping us updated on what was a very complex chain. Without Jess’ tenacity, we have no doubt the chain would have collapsed. She is a real credit to John German!

GoogleWe are so pleased with our Sales experience with JG. Initially, Jonathan for getting the Guide/valuation spot on. JG's Off Market option suited us as we wanted a "no fuss Sale" without endless Viewings. We sold in a week, 1st Couple. Laura M was instrumental throughout, especially liaising and reassuring the Buyers as well as Us the Sellers. There's more to the process than we remember. I believe Laura's input helped reduce the time considerably it took from start to finish and most important ensured the Sale went through. Thanks Laura. GoogleHighly Commended -Impeccable professionals When appointing an estate agent, it is all too easy to initially focus on the fee quoted and although John German at first appeared more expensive than their rivals, their approach and results more than justified the cost. Simon Redford [Sales Director] not only valued the property with a price tag 13% higher than the competition, it was sold within 2 weeks of going on the market. Vicky Hughes, their Senior Sales Negotiator & Progressor, requires a special mention with a big thank-you for her excellent communication skills, dogged determination and perseverance in pushing both parties sluggish solicitors across the finishing line. Conveyancing is neither a mystical or difficult process but the experience of this aspect of the sale simply demonstrated that the legal aspect of buying and selling a property is in desperate need of a long overdue reform.
