GoogleThe staff were knowledgeable and efficient. Having worked with another agent before them, I was pleased to be dealing with a superior agent. I just wished we'd gone with them in the first instance, it would have saved us 6 months! Highly recommended, we would definitely use again.

GoogleI recently purchased a house from John D Wood Fulham, and the team there were great! Our agent, Emma Bruce, was infinitely patient during our search, and once the purchase process was underway, she was very responsive throughout the process (even returning calls and email while skiing in the alps!). She provided us with timely and sound advice and also gave us some great contacts when we needed them (such as our architect who we are now using). Most importantly, I found the team there to have very high standards of integrity and honesty which were really important to me. We dealt with at least half a dozen different agencies during our search and I would say that John D Wood stood out for us - both in terms of service level as well as the quality of the properties they had in their portfolio. I would highly recommend them to anyone considering buying or selling a house in the area.

GoogleI honestly have to question the authenticty of these "glowing" reviews. Under hand, rude, terribly obnoxious and ill informed - I dont have a good word to say about these people. My Neighbour and Friend also had similar experiences to me. Dreadful!

GoogleFirst class all the way through the sale of my house from the well-written property details and professional photos to the day of completion. They were a little more expensive than some of the agents I considered, but I felt they earned their money. I would definitely recommend them.

GoogleMoving halfway around the world on a short time frame was difficult and stressful, but it was made possible by the outstanding service received from Celia and Sarah at JDW Oxford. Celia started early to facilitate our viewing at the only time we had available, then helped us through the application process and especially helped us understand the mysteries of things like "council tax" and "BT". Sarah was kind and patient even when the international banking system wasn't, and when my work schedule slowed my responses to important emails. Hopefully it's a while before we move again but when we do I will start with John D Wood at Oxford because I could not have asked for better service and better outcomes. Thank you.

GoogleGuy Shaw and his brilliant team did a superlative job selling my parents' house. It was an unusual house which Guy marketed so well and got the very best publicity, including an article in The Mail on Sunday, with plenty of viewings and a very satisfactory sale. They anticipated every need and reassured at all the right times. Nothing but praise.

GoogleI would like to praise Sarah Haywood-Broomfield for her extremely helpful advice. I know most agents know this stuff. Rare they are so focused. Sarah said in ten minutes all I needed to know. I made myself slightly unpopular telling a rival this. I now will get on and do the work and would love to invite Sarah back to do the new evaluation. The work is 100 % what she said including new boiler. Builder is booked and windows bought and paid for. I suppose when someone has moved house 31 times she would know a bit ( yikes that's frightening as I have only moved 2 times in 60 years and soon to be my third ).

GoogleLast year I went to see a lovely house on Banbury road that was being sold by John D. Wood. Joost Barnas did such a superb job showing me around, and subsequently managing the bidding process (we lost out sadly, but that is life), that I turned around and asked his team to help me sell two leasehold flats in East Oxford. Both properties achieved an excellent price, and the team helped guide my buyers and I though some more complex than usual issues with the conveyacing. I really appreciated the tell it like it is straight talking by the manager Guy Shaw, and the hard work and professional attitudes of Chris Hollis, Sarah Williams and Vanessa Boswell. Overall a great team that I would highly recommend to buyers and sellers.

GoogleGuy Shaw and his bright, energetic and thoughtful team at John D Wood in Oxford helped us move into London, a difficult thing to do in this "hot" market. They were the selling agents for our Oxford house in the first instance so knew the property and local market very well.They were considerate and understanding of our circumstances and approached the sale with a tactical, realistic yet ambitious mindset. Ultimately we could not have achieved as successful and timely a sale as we did with any other agent. We would recommend John D Wood, and in particular the team led by Guy and Joost, very highly indeed!

We were looking for a studio flat for my daughter when she first moved in Oxford and Jackie showed us different properties and without Jackie's advice it would have been difficult for us to find a property that would suit our needs. Jackie was very understanding and highly professional and we are very grateful for everything Jackie has done for us to help my daughter find and settle in the new flat.

The friendly and co-operative staff provided an outstanding service with true respect for both parties, from the initial discussions and viewings through negotiating and concluding the contract, to the administration of the rental, and the post-rental settlements.
