GoogleI worked with Alexandra Cheeseman to rent a property. Alexandra was extremely helpful, available at all times, quick in her responses and very supportive throughout the process. I found the process of renting extremely easy and straightforward and I will definitely recommend John D Wood to friends.

GoogleAlexandra Cheeseman was such a great broker to work with, especially for someone new to London. She was very patient with us as my husband and I had to make decisions from abroad and see properties separately. She did a great job of compiling properties that were exactly what we wanted, and in our price range. Alexandra was also so very professional. Before working with her, my husband and I reached out to a few other brokers whom either dropped the ball, inundated us with properties that didn't make sense for us, or did not follow up when asked. Alexandra was always prompt to respond, thorough and clearly cares a lot about her work. Not only did she help us find the right apartment, she also helped us after we signed our lease with questions we had about getting settled. We were lucky to find Alexandra!!

GoogleThe most professional and friendly estate agents I have been in contact with. Alexandra C and Amy W from the South Kensington branch made my search for (and move into) my new home both structured, efficient and friendly from start to finish. I strongly recommending them to anyone who is considering a move and want to do it in the smoothest way without headaches or stress. They immediately sorted out any request or query that I have had, whilst keeping me in the loop meanwhile (even from going out of their way to find me exactly the sofa I want and ordering it, to remembering things I had mentioned during the flat viewing that I wanted to keep to make sure that I got it). This move was by far the most pleasant moving experience I have had over my many years in London. Thank you and keep up the great work!

GoogleRented a flat for a year and the property management was very poor indeed. Took 8 months to get 2 mouldy blinds replaced that had been noticed on first inspection, we were left without an oven for about 2 months of tenancy so had to eat out. And there were plenty more issues
We are very sorry to hear you have had a negative experience. This is not in any way what we would want for our tenants. Without knowing all the details it is hard to comment further at this point and with property management we can sometimes find our hands are tied as we do need the landlord’s authorisation to do works in a property. The resulting Tenancy Agreement accurately reflects the intentions of both ourselves and the Landlord and both parties understand their obligations thanks to Rebecca's assistance. The team followed up all our questions immediately and were very thorough. I would highly recommend working with this firm to others.

We have now found our new place to call home and it is all thanks to the brilliant work, communication and patience of Katie & Ed at John D. Wood. GoogleMy experience with John D Wood is the best I have ever encountered from an estate agent, and I’ve encountered quite a few over the years. I was looked after by the delightful William Saunders at the Chelsea lettings office, who got to know what I was looking for after showing me around several properties. I was looking over a period of a couple of months and he kept in touch without being at all pushy or ‘salesy’. He even kept a spreadsheet of properties that matched my preferences. Once I found the perfect place the whole office were extremely helpful at getting me through the referencing process, especially since my circumstances were not usual. I completed the handover this week, which was also to a very high standard. I really could not have asked for more. For the first time, I actually enjoyed paying the agency fee, with a feeling that it was well deserved. Thank you John D Wood Chelsea Lettings.

In particular, Katie Sweetingham was very flexible and happy to work around our busy schedules. She was also very understanding during the application process as we were away overseas during this time. Googleif you are looking to rent your property and want it properly managed don't use John D Wood and their incompetent Countrywide colleagues as property management doesn't exist.

GoogleHouse-hunting in Central London is not exactly a spa break, to say the least. After months of dealing with several agents, and growing increasingly disheartened, it was positively a relief to land at John D Wood in Battersea. Antonia was absolutely outstanding from the off, in every respect, and a genuine pleasure to deal with as a person. She was incredibly attentive and intuitive to what I was looking for from a property, however specific, and from that point, only suggested properties that truly fit the bill. This alone is a stand-out trait; Antonia singles herself out from the swathes of time-wasting agents who suggest irrelevant properties and telephone incessantly. Unlike my experiences with other agencies, I never once felt pressured, or part of a sales target, and this is entirely owing to Antonia's very human approach to the task. She was even so kind as to let me see a property before she listed it - partly out of confidence that I would love it (which I instantly did), and in sensitivity to my personal circumstances. The deal was signed and sealed that afternoon - swift, painless, and incredibly efficient. I would not hesitate to recommend her, or John D Wood, as a first port of call to anyone house-hunting in London.

They were very professional and responsive and dealt with all the matters typical of such processes in a very swift and professional way. They know their locations and lettings value well. They found us a tenant very quickly.
