GoogleWe were shown around two properties on your books by the wonderful Jackie Smith today. She went above and beyond - taking time to give us plenty of information about the apartments, helpful advice about the appplication process, and was very. generous with her bountiful knowledge and warmth. She's a credit to John D Wood!

GoogleJohn D Wood & Co. Estate Agents in Summertown, Oxford have shown an excellent professionalism and care during my rental property hunt in 2024. As Oxford residents would know, rental market is hectic in summer; often the prices are unreasonably high and competition is overwhelming. Despite registering with almost all real estate agents in town and actively making offers to the properties, I could not rent a place for about 3 months. During these hectic times Katie from John D Wood has been a star. Unlike other real estate agents, she proactively and kindly showed me new properties and let me know the upcoming ones. I also found the prices of the property let by John D Wood more reasonable compared to others. Overall, I feel satisfied with their excellent service and rapid communication and recommend them.

GoogleJust exchanged for a residential purchase in Wimbledon with Peter, in this office. Extremely competent and professional. what I found really head and shoulders above the rest is the willingness to listen and problem solve to get to an agreement - which is ultimately what builds the trust required to close the deal. As opposed to average agents simply repeating the same lines. Would recommend to buyers and sellers

GoogleUnfortunately I have very few nice things to say. They are very good at selling/renting you a property, but that's where it ends. If they are the ones managing a property you are renting or you own, best of luck. We moved into a dirty property that was not properly cleaned, with a broken shower they didn't bother to fix at any point during our tenancy, and the complete wrong information about what utilities the landlord was using (we entered into an 18-month broadband contract to then find out the landlord still had Wifi in the property, and Apple TV). The property was so badly cleaned that we couldn't move in until they organised a cleaning, and even then we paid £300 extra to clean the carpets and mattresses. I thought other agencies in the area were bad, but John D Wood are by far the worst, as there is zero communication between them and the landlord or delineation between what they are responsible for and what the landlord is responsible for. Really amateur and unprofessional behaviour. Won't go to them when looking for a new property in Parsons Green. I know there's a high likelihood they will reply trying to make excuses, but please disregard these.

The sale of my house ran extremely smoothly from the beginning of proceedings right up to handing the keys over! I really would recommend them to anyone thinking of selling their home.

GoogleI was lucky enough to deal with Simon in lettings at John D Wood. Whilst trying to find a new flat I must have met with 7+ lettings agents, Simon was by a huge margin the best I met. He worked to my timetable but was pro-active in reaching out and not afraid to hold me accountable to soft deadlines we had agreed on but the most impressive part from this experience has been how well he knew the properties he showed me. We drove round all the properties in one afternoon he felt were suitable for me, asked what I did in my spare time (which at the time I thought was just to make conversation) and proposed properties to me that not only fit my requirements for a property but also had researched amenities nearby that he’d learned would be important to me, showed me photos of good gyms and parks nearby each property and could make great recommendations for restaurants and bars. It felt like we were working together to find a suitable flat rather than just trying to push me to let through him. Unfortunately due to some bad luck previously on the search I was under a serious time crunch so ended up going with another flat which I liked as it was important I signed on something ASAP, but I would have loved to have given Simon my business just because of how impressed I was at the experience working with him and would be happy to recommend him to anyone who is looking
