Dear Lynne,We have been Landlords trusting the renting out of our family house in the hands of Hythe & Waterside lettings (H&W) since 2014. This has enabled us to embrace retirement, without worrying about the day to day legalities and responsibilities of renting out our home. After a lot of soul searching, we recently decided that it was time to sell our home as the end of our current tenancy agreement was approaching. We telephoned the H&W office and spoke to Zoe Arnold, who we believe joined the business in October 2019. Zoe fully explained the correct process and together we planned the timeline. She then issued the relevant documents in good time, to give notice to the tenants to vacate the property at the end of the fixed term.Once notice had been issued, we worked with Wayne and Richard in H&W sales to get the property marketed for sale. Within a few days we received and accepted an offer for our house and started the legal ball rolling. To help enable the sale of our property and the smooth vacation of our tenants, Zoe showed our tenants properties for rent.Then the Coronavirus struck and turned the world upside down, with emergency legislation being issued to extend the required notice period and stopping house repossession actions, the courts were suspended, essentially the housing market stopped etc.... Zoe has been (and remains) exceptionally supportive throughout this turbulent period. Her knowledge and guidance of the rental sector has been, and continues to be, invaluable to us and her prompt attention has made this situation much easier to work through.Throughout these incredibly difficult and sensitive times, it is so reassuring to know that Zoe has our best interests at heart. So often in this day and age, criticism and complaint are common place, with good service rarely being commented upon. We would like make you aware of our most sincere appreciation of Zoe, in gratitude and recognition of her high level of customer service, knowledge and aptitude, as we endeavour to continue our quest to regain possession on our property and complete our sale. Hythe and Waterside have been Fantastic all the way through my dealings with them. They are Professional yet Friendly and very Efficient. The whole process was very smooth and any query I have had has been answered quickly and with the minimum of fuss. They have also gone above and beyond at a difficult time (Covid-19 and Isolation) to make sure my move still went ahead. I would not hesitate to recommend them to Family and Friends and would definitely use them again in the future.

I recently bought a house to rent out from Hythe and Waterside and they are now fully managing the property. I was very impressed with the service during the purchase. The sales team certainly went the extra mile to make sure everything went through as smoothly as possible. I am also very impressed with the lettings team. They are extremely professional and you always get a friendly welcome when visiting the office.

Brilliant, Elizabeth did amazing considering the world wide pandemic that’s on going. Didn’t actually get to visit the accommodation before moving in but the video and being kept in the loop made everything a lot less stressful and there were no surprises so thank you very much.

A smooth and hassle free service checking old tenants out and installing the new ones. From the moment we received notice that our existing tenants were leaving at the end of their tenancy, the Hythe and Waterside machine clicked into action where found, checked and completed the paperwork for our new tenants in a very professional manner. Excellent service throughout.

HWL were our letting agents for well over a decade. When time came to sell our BTL property we wanted to sell to an investor buyer so that our tenant could stay in the property. HWL found a number of buyers very quickly and in particular an investor purchaser who we agreed to sell to. HWL were very proactive in dealing with the issues and enquiries which arose during the legal process. In particular they went to great lengths to locate our missing water meter which vexed us all for some time and was eventually discovered in an unexpected place.
