Darren at Hythe and Waterside was a pleasure to work with. He demonstrated exceptional professionalism and efficiency throughout the entire process of letting me a new flat. What truly stood out was his prompt communication, he always responded to my emails within an hour! Even on the evenings. Thanks to his hard work, the experience of moving houses, which is understandably stressful, felt seamless and well managed and I am very happy with the outcome. It took less than 3 weeks from viewing the place to moving in. I would not hesitate to recommend Darren McNulty and Hythe and Waterside estate letting agency to anyone looking to rent in the area.

The best estate agents we have ever used. Darren helped my family out of an awful situation. We went to Darren with only 5 days to find somewhere new to live and he had us all confirmed for a new place within 3 days. Darren made the impossible happen and myself and my family are so incredibly grateful for him and will never forget his kindness, understanding and how good he is at his job. Darren was very professional throughout and really had a good understanding of every property they had available and was able to pick the best one for us.

Tina was the best!

From the viewing to the exchange, we couldn't have asked for more. Buying and selling is stressful, but Tina was amazing. She was so helpful, calm and responded to communications quickly and even out of normal business hours, going above and beyond for us and our seller. Tina wanted us to both secure our new homes and worked so hard to get us there. Fantastic service, even when she was facing loss in her world. We cannot thank her enough for keeping her eye on the prize for us all. Highly recommend!!

I initially had a positive viewing with Darren, who gave me the impression that his recommendation carried significant weight with the landlord regarding who would be selected. ​However, after having to follow up on an email sent on Friday, I received a response today that completely contradicted this initial conversation, shifting all responsibility away from what was previously discussed. ​Due to this lack of transparency, coupled with slow communication turnaround times, I no longer felt comfortable proceeding and have withdrawn my offer. Disappointed with how this process was handled.

We had a number of problems with the managed service. Communication was poor and we often felt we had to continually chase to get information on works. Despite saying on the website that they negotiate on your behalf to get work done we were told they do not usually provide quotes for the work and we had to continually push for this. They only have one person managing the properties so if this person is away then nothing happens. We had damage to our property which despite knowing they asked if we were happy to release the deposit. Council were not informed of change of tenant, despite saying they were. So many issues which caused a huge amount of stress trying to sort out. We have used numerous letting services previously but this was the worst service experience. Absolutely would not recommend and we won’t use them again.

I contacted this estate agent twice to arrange a viewing for a property. On both occasions, I was told they would check with the vendor and call me back, but I never received any follow-up. When I called again today, I was informed that the salesperson prefers potential buyers to have already sold their own property before arranging a viewing. This was never mentioned during my previous calls, and it’s frustrating that I had to chase them just to find this out. This approach feels unreasonable, almost like being pressured into selling first just to be considered. Not everyone will have their property sold before starting to view homes, and this policy should have been communicated clearly from the start. Overall, I found the experience disappointing and unprofessional, and I have decided not to proceed with them.

I have just moved to Hythe from Andover,, Hythe and waterside was not working for me as I was the buyer as i was with another estate agent in Andover ,, but Angela she gave 100% she kept me up to date,she phone all involved , she informed me straightaway with any information, she kept my estate agent on their toes, who may I add I felt failed me,, she even phoned me from her own home phone on her day off on the day of completion to make sure it gone through,,as she was still chasing people up to this time, she made me feel I had someone on my side, a big thank you Angela, Hythe and waterside

Tina the sales co ordinator, chased my buyers,&our solicitor's as well as her sellers solicitor. Was a really stressful time, but she kept reassuring me we'd get there. Sold 27th Feb exchanged 15th june. The whole experience was fantastic. Darren the agent was lovely didn't rush us let me go back to measure garden, knew how committed we were. Reassured buyers we were a good fit, to purchase their property. Highly recommend Hythe and waterside, I would definitely sell or buy through them, if we in that position again. But we've brought our forever home from them. Extremely grateful.

Darren has persevered with this sale for many months before we were ready to market, and always sounds professional and knowledgeable; cheerfully negotiating two deals, the second after we were let down. The office team, fronted by Maddie is always communicative, and flexible when I edited the brochure (sorry). They are organised, and chase the professionals to ensure things move on and don't fall down cracks. (Hope the pro's don't mind - but that's their problem).

We highly recommend using H&W who handled our sale and purchase. We were supported throughout the whole process with H&W dealing with everything really efficiently and keeping good communication with all the stakeholders. We had a few twists and turns but H&W were really responsive and always kept us in the loop at every stage making it all so easy for us. The team at H&W worked very well together which really paid off. Darren was brilliant and provided significant support to resolve issues. Zoe’s impressive work in progressing was especially outstanding and she should be recognised for going above and beyond working extremely hard throughout. H & W handled both the sale and purchase. To say the process was tortuous is an undertstatement. However, this was due to legal difficulties further down the chain and H&W did everything possible to ensure that there was a successful outcome. Particular mention must be made of Zoe who worked tirelessly on our behalf and kept us informed at all stages of the process. There were times when it seemed that everything would collapse but due to the professionalism of H&W we had a successful outcome.

We sold our house through Hythe and Waterside in 2018. We’ll i say through H&W i actually mean Richard. Kemish sold our house! It was a seamless experience from start to Finish with sound advice at every step! With no usual estate agent patter. I recently visited with a family member to arrange a rental viewing for them, only to find that Richard is moving on. We will be following Mr. Kemish to his next endeavour and we live in hope that if we decide to move again he will have started his own company. My only issue with Richard is that he was dressed in a three piece suit in The middle of August.I highly recommend visiting Richard at his new company (AJ in Hythe)

An excellent service

Having dealt with many estate agents over the years my confidence in them had become very low. However, since dealing with Hythe and Waterside my faith in their profession has been restored. They very much break the mould of the average agents. The communications throughout the whole process was excellent and our particular agent Richard went the extra mile to ensure that things went smoothly, including pushing both sides' solicitors who seemed quite happy to let things drag on. All in all an excellent service and would definitely highly recommend them to friends and colleagues.

Difficult change of tenant.

This transition of tenants has been rather tricky for one reason or another which wasn’t the fault of H&W.Tina and her team kept us informed and was pro active in finding a suitable tenant and ensuring a speedy, smooth transition with the inventory and remedial maintenance and repairs being conducted in a timely and cost effective manner.Where a problem came to light with the Utilities, we (the landlords) passed all relevant information over and it was dealt with in an expeditious way.I pay a monthly fee for a fully maintained package; I think I’m in very good hands.Thanks Hythe & Waterside. 😊
