GoogleMy parents had a consultation with Homewise when they were looking to downsize. They did not end up using the Home for Life plan but they were very impressed with the friendly and helpful consultant who talked them through their options.

GoogleMy friend moved to Portugal about 10 years ago, but last year decided they wanted to come back and found that their property wasn’t worth anywhere near what they thought it would be. They’re both retired and live off their pension so I did a bit of research to find out if there was anything that could help and found Homewise. My friend called them to find out more. The Home for Life Plan gave them the lifeline they needed and in January they’re moving back to the UK.

GoogleHomewise made the whole process for us to move and downsize to a two bedroom bungalow with smaller garden apropriate to our requirements. The whole process of selling our house and moving into our bungalow took just three months and removed any of the usual worries and hassle involved in moving. Homewise, or should I say Carl Fitter their representative along with the solicitor recommended by them, managed everything and removed all of the stress levels associated with moving house. The only thing remaining for me to say is, thank you Carl and Homewise.

GoogleI’m selling a house and saw it was for sale via Homewise 60+ without my consent. Seems like they partner with estate agents and it’s a bit like timeshare rip off. I’ve asked them to not sell though Homewise 60+ as they are unethical and I do not wish to sell my property though an estate agent who use Homewise 60+ to get an extra commission. This is unethical in my opinion

Feedback on our service is very important to us and we thank you for your review, however, there may be some confusion that we can hopefully clear up for you. Please be assured Homewise provides a service that helps people aged 60+ find security for their future in a home they love. We uphold the highest standards and take our duty of care very seriously; we’re a family-run business and have been helping people find their ideal homes for over 50 years. Our values, ethos, and Code of Practice have been established to protect customers, and ensure their best interests are at the very centre of everything we do. Providing a first-class service is important to us. As such, we work closely with trusted partner estate agents across England and Wales to help their ‘over 60s’ customers secure their chosen homes for much less than the market value. In turn, the agents are also able to offer all of their vendors an extra service (free of charge and completely optional), which means their property is listed twice online. The second listing simply helps your property to appear in more searches and can increase interest and demand for viewings. But it is optional and can be removed at any time. You have not shared which estate agent you are referring to and we cannot comment on your experience with your agent, but please do reach out to them and they can remove the free second listing if you do not want the extra coverage. We appreciate it can be confusing to see the two listings if you were unaware of your marketing arrangement with your agent and apologise for any concern this may have caused. Rest assured that, whilst the second listing shows a guide price for over 60s (if they want to purchase a Home for Life Plan from Homewise), you would not receive the guide price amount advertised. If a Homewise customer chooses your property, Homewise would purchase the property from you at the full agreed selling price, just like any other buyer. Although you have not spoken with Homewise directly and are not a Homewise customer, I hope this goes some way to explain why you saw the second listing, and how our service helps our customers. GoogleThe day I came across Homewise changed my life.. It was the answer to my problems. After 4 years or more of trying to find the right property to downsize to and live near my only family (my daughter) after so much sadness in my life - they helped me to be able to find my new home and afford it and joyfully live in it as I want to. The whole process was taken off my shoulders and the Homewise folk were so understanding, patent and courteous. It was the total answer for me as a mortgage was out of the question and I now have no money worries regarding buying this property and will still have sufficient when the time comes to pass to my daughter. Thank you Homewise for being there for me.

GoogleI retire in a few years, and I know that my pension pot isn’t quite as big as I’d like so I’ll probably have to downsize to cut costs, it would also be great to have some money put by. I got a letter from Homewise and initially it seemed like it was too good to be true, but then I called them. They explained everything about their Home for Life Plan to me and knowing that there is something available for me when I’m ready to retire is actually quite reassuring.

GoogleWanted to see if they could help my Nanna out as she needs to move closer to us down here on the south coast. The lady I spoke to was very helpful, really clear and gave me all the info to go away and have a think about. Sounded like she really cared too. I've passed on their number to some of my Nanna's friends who are interested as well. Great company to deal with.

GoogleSpoke to Homewise recently on behalf of my mum. The lifetime lease is a great product for someone looking to release some funds and still live somewhere nice. The lady i spoke with was friendly and knowledgeable, i was able to book in a no obligation quotation for my mum and see if this poses another option. It wad good to understsnd they dont own properties you see online they provide a discount for over 60s, and you can still buy the property outright.

GoogleWe used this service for our parents, they were still living in the family home, way too big for them and still with a mortgage to pay. We managed to move them nearer to us, in a lovely smaller home with no debt and know they are safe and happy is all we want as a family. Homewise included us all in the process and they couldn't have been clearer on the offering. It has worked out wonderfully and we thank you!

GoogleRecently spoke to a lady called Jasmine about the home for life plan. She was very informative and answered all my questions. We were even offered a valuation to help get the ball rolling. This gives mum another option for her retirement! Well worth the call!
