GoogleIt’s the first time I am renting out my property. What I thought would be a daunting task was made so easy by Franklyn James. I was initially in contact with Lee who made me immediately comfortable with the whole process. Then George took over and within a week I had 2 offers. George was very helpful, available, ready to answer any question, very knowledgeable, I only have praises. I trust the team entirely and would recommend them to anybody.

George, who has been our main point of contact in the process, has been particularly helpful and happy to assist us with the negotiation process. GoogleOur initial impression for Franklyn James was good but it soon turned into the most terrible experience. Franklyn James didn’t care to check if our new place was professionally cleaned or was in good shape at all. I came into a place which was filthy, had broken window hinges, non functioning and missing appliances and a nightmare to live in. They did little to nothing and just asked us to check with the landlords since it’s ‘not managed by them’. If you’re ever going through them, please make sure that they have confirmed that they will do the basic checks such as professional cleaning and inventory. Utterly unprofessional attitude.

TrustpilotPay rent and keep quiet
Frankly James were welcoming at the beginning of our tenancy but this is where their professionalism ends. Once they get you to sign a tenancy agreement, it’s better if you don’t ask any questions but keep paying (high) rent. They will hold your deposit which means that they have leverage and will use it to squeeze every penny. Please avoid this letting agent at all cost!

Unscrupolous dishonest agents, did not want to refund our money for work which was NOT done. We filed a formal complaint which was decided in our favour. Complaints made by existing tenant and prospective tenants, viewing the property over their lack of professionalism.We will be selling our flat in a few years and because of this experience with them, we will not be using FJ. Furthermore, we will NOT be recommending them to friends.

FacebookI'm very unhappy with the service I received when I moved in, I was not shown properly how appliances work, in particular the heating system. The heating system was not set up correctly, which resulted in a very high electricity bill.

GoogleFranklyn James management is terrible! Highly not recommended ! They just disappear when we need help! Dovile and Fiona did't reply to our messages when our boiler stopped working this winter - they didn't reply when our neighbor complained about having water dropping from their ceiling - They prevent other services (repair and inspection contractors) to do their work properly by providing them with incomplete set of keys. Franklyn James where are you?

GoogleUnfortunately Franklyn James were not reliable, professional or polite when we needed to change a tenant on our contract. They lost personal and highly confidential documents supplied by our new tenant, as well as claiming to have no records of a change of tenancy, despite us having long email chains detailing the change. They claimed we had never supplied the documents and were rude in their correspondence with us about the matter. Once they found them, they did not tell us or admit fault. A different employee then accidentally told us that they had found them. We never received any apology and were charged nearly £300 for the fiasco. Very disappointing service.

GoogleWe have been clients of Franklyn James for about 15 years in which time Gary has represented us virtually throughout. Gary is always ready to solve problems; he responds to emails and telephone calls promptly; and he finds solutions which satisfy us and are acceptable to tenants. It is without doubt that Gary is a great asset to Franklyn James.

GoogleI have worked with many different agents across London and I can say Gary and the property management team of Franklyn James are very organised and have a fast turn around in getting remedial work authorised. In the 2 years I have been working with them I have never had any issues with payments and in general they are delight to work with. I look forward to many more years to come.

GoogleFranklyn James have managed our flat for a number of years and they have been excellent. Always helpful, friendly and professional, I have nothing but praise for them. They have sorted out problems quickly and efficiently and have been very easy to communicate with. I would have no hesitation in using them for any future work.
