Wish all agents were as good as Franklyn James

Having rented with Franklyn James for the past 3 years, it has been a great experience from start to finish. The property was in perfect order for when I moved in (even though I had a few special requests). Any problems during my tenancy were always dealt with promptly and the staff were professional and helpful at all times. Having moved to a new property I wish my new agent was as on top of things as Franklyn James. A big thank you to Daniel, Yawar and James

From the very beginning - wrong pictures and video on details, agent lying to viewers about why we were selling. That was only the beginning though. Total lack of communication despite really serious issues during conveyancing that ultimately led to the sale falling through. Emails and phone calls ignored, inadequate due diligence on prospective purchasers, lax attitude to concerns about property fraud. The ONLY upside of the sale falling through is we don’t have to pay these clowns. Honestly, I would avoid. Terrible “service”.

I've had an exceptional experience working with Franklyn James to let my property in Limehouse. I was initially introduced to James Cooper who's communication and professionalism is second to none, and the property made it onto the market swiftly and efficiently. I had a great service with the letting agent team who kept me in the loop with viewing requests and feedback, especially Dylan, who was very helpful in chasing up the lease to finalise the terms with the tents. Yawar has been a fantastic property manager throughout my tenancy. He was always very helpful, professional, and accommodating. One of the things I appreciated most was how well he maintained communication between me and the landlord, he always kept me in the loop and made sure everything was clear and transparent. When it came time for me to look for a new place, Yawar went out of his way to try and assist with finding a new rental, which I really appreciated. He was swift in responding to any queries I had and always handled everything with a high level of professionalism. Overall, Yawar made the experience much smoother and less stressful. I'd highly recommend him to anyone working with Franklyn James.

Sold a flat with FJ recently

Sold a flat with FJ recently. It’s been a long drawn out process. They have been pretty much useless. Estate agent turns up for a viewing with clients and says to me “I don’t know anything about this property so you better show them yourself”. It’s one thing being incompetent, but being so open about it was jaw-dropping. Luckily, we were able to sell the flat without their help. The most they did was list the property on Rightmove and contacted our buyer to arrange a viewing. Communication poor, inexperienced agents and lack of motivation to sell the property. When it came to completion, didn’t respond to emails about completion process until I made some angry calls on the morning of. Mark was good to deal with, and a chap called Marlon who I think has left now. Avoid others. Hope they enjoy the money they made from our commission for not doing a lot!

He showed me around the flat on two occassions - I asked for a second viewing to clarify something very specific before putting in an offer, and they arranged and attended the second visit within the hour. The agents don't engage in bidding wars like others do. I've been searching for a place to move for a couple of months now and have seen it all. Definitely a standout!

Absolutely horrid experience. Had 5 new property managers in the space of a year. The agency has not taken responsibility despite raising concerning issues repeatedly over 10 months. The letting agent also shared ‘embellished’ truths about the property like: concierge included. Which were found to be untrue once we moved in. Would never work with them again.
