GoogleI sold my first house through Fenn Wright. I genuinely thought that this would end up being an exhausting process of many viewings etc etc but I actually had very few viewings before my house had sold. That's not to say that it was listed too low though because another estate agent wanted to list mine for less than it sold for!
It was pleasant dealing with the various members of the team that I dealt with all the way from valuing my property right up to the completion of sale. Every member of staff was incredibly pleasant to deal with at each stage and I must also hand a thanks to Josh for recommending Hayward Moon solicitors to me as that made the entire process smooth for us.
I believe throughout this whole process I must also thank Sean, Kyle and Debbie for their work with my property.

GoogleUnfortunately our first purchase experience was made very stressful by Fenn Wright. On completion date, they didn’t have all of the keys.
Somebody else, known to the former owner, had them and were on holiday - breach of the contract which states all keys due by completion. When calling Kris to raise my concern and stress at 3.30pm on the completion date, he laughed over the phone and attempted to belittle me. I am glad I have this recorded as I will be taking this further.
At the start of the process, we viewed the house and were told that the garage next door was ours. We negotiated based on that being the case. Turns out, our garage was around the corner. When asking to view, they didn’t have the keys. In all fairness, we did view again and see the garage.
The property had been vacant for a year, and there was a food waste bin with mouldy food in the cupboard under the sink. The estate agent said that will be sorted, along with rubbish in the back garden. It took our solicitors some time to get this sorted, and the rubbish remained. It had just been chucked in the shed.
I just felt like a huge inconvenience whenever having a query. I’m sorry, but buying a house is the biggest purchase you’ll ever make and all questions are important. Also, it was our first purchase, and we did nothing to deserve such poor treatment on completion day. As soon as you complete, it’s just expected you get on with it! The keys we had on a key ring as well - they didn’t even know which one was which, there were 2 keys and we needed 3 (front door, back doors and garage). Again, it was for me to sort myself. So more money being spent on locksmiths.
I am truly disgusted by Fenn Wright Colchester. Would never use them again if I had the choice.
