When i was considering applying to a Masters program and moving to the UK from the US, the most intimidating part was deciding where I would live. I would be living by myself and wouldn't know anyone. I emailed several different letting companies and the ONLY company to answer, be respectful, and truly make me feel like I was important was Sarah and Rachel at the Kingston Featherstone Leigh. They were patient, understanding, organized, and kind, professional yet approachable. Even with a 6 hour time difference and over 4,000 miles between them and I we were able to smoothly find an incredible flat which I love. I can only but recommend the staff of Featherstone Leigh in Kingston-upon-Thames. I was looking for an apartment in Kingston and the nearby area and everything went smoothly and quickly with the help of Rachel and other members of the staff. They use digital processes for signing papers and it saves you a lot of time. There happened to be an emergency issue with a lock once, so even if the apartment was managed by the owner who was unreachable at the moment, Rachel and her colleague came immediately for help and organised the rescue. Absolutely horrendous! After being bullied into taking a property 2 weeks earlier then wanted and being penalised for having a cat (confirmed as fine) so wanting 8 weeks deposit!! We turn up to a house with no working cooker - food in London as takeaway is not cheap!, a shower door that doesn't close so drenched bath mat every morning, shelves in bedrooms hanging off walls, a front door we can't lock cause we've been given badly cut keys and a bathroom lock that came off in our hands the first day, you could say has been a rubbish experience. No one is taking responsibility for the fact that all of the above was asked to be fixed before we moved in and not a single person has apologised. These guys are very quick to take your money but will run for the hills if anything goes wrong! DO NOT USE! You've been warned.
