I was buying a house through hunters

I was buying a house through hunters, wasn’t the best experience in the world. When it came to getting the keys from the bishop Auckland office, I was told to wait outside in the cold for 15 minutes, then presented with 1 key by itself, there was no congrats on your first home or any welcome gifts or anything, just here’s your key, see you later 👍🏼😂 got into the house, it wasn’t clean, the kitchen had been flooded which warped all the kitchen floor which I then had to pay to get it sorted. They should have done a check once the owners were out the house in order to make sure it was in a fit state and as seen on the viewings. I’ve since rented out houses around that area and stayed well clear of hunters, I would never use them again after the experience I had with them.

One of the WORST agencies you can work…

One of the worst agencies you can work with. We booked a viewing for a house, confirmed it that day, drove an hour, and nobody bothered to come. When finally reaching them, after numerous phone calls, they just said they tried to contact us for another day. We had no phone calls, no messages, nothing. The lady I talked to was stunningly rude and yelled constantly. Please STAY AWAY FROM THEM.

After having several purchases fall through and dealing with multiple agencies, I would not hesitate to recommend DM & Co Homes. Their commitment and drive is second to none. My main concern, being the Executor of a close friend's estate, was the sale of the property. Fortunately, the recommendation from Emma Chance to use the services of D M & Co. proved to be very sound advice. What a great team they are! Even allowing for a few 'hiccups' in the early days of the sale, due to Probate being involved, my main contacts proved to know exactly how to handle the situation with their professionalism, knowledge, and communication skills. Ann Wood's help in re-negotiating with the prospective purchaser proved to be invaluable and allowed the sale of the house to proceed. Thank you, Ann. My main contact then was Victoria Stuart who was tireless in liaising with the purchasers, their Solicitors, and indeed, my Solicitors thus keeping me up-to-date with proceeding until the magical conclusion 'Contracts exchanged and sale completed' So many thanks to you too, Victoria.Not sure when I will need the services of an Estate Agent again but if, and when, the situation arises there is only one name in the frame... To say these are amateurs at property management is a complement. Useless in every-way. They lost important legal paperwork for my property as management agents, and then tried to blank me when I needed them most, resulting in significant financial loss to me the landlord. Do not use this bunch of cowboys as management agents!! I moved my property to another Manchester agent, best thing I did.

Rude and unprofessional

I had a viewing arranged and nobody could give me a meeting point for a large apartment building with several entrances. Spent nearly 20 minutes at the location wondering around and trying to reach the person that was supposed to show me around, all calls declined. Office couldn’t get through to her either and when she finally calls me is to rudely tell me off for not showing up at a different entrance when she never told me where to go, speaking to me in an angry tone and then hanging up.
