Booked a viewing for one of their properties for the next day without issue with the understanding that it would take place at 4:40pm. When I checked the property on the day, I noticed it appeared as ‘let agreed’. When calling the agent, they said that they ‘didn’t know’ if it had been let or not, and they would be in contact with the property manager. After ringing them back 2 hours before my viewing, I was told they still didn’t know and that the property was under offer and in the final stages of completion. As someone who had to travel over an hour to the property, I was disgusted by the attitude they operate under. It appears they just take bookings and show people round without even checking if they property is still available. Waste of time.

Do not waste your time with them. Most unprofessional letting agents in whole of north. No transparency, they manipulate viewings and tenants.

I would like to express that DJ Alexander property agency provide an excellent services. I felt they have been done my request as kindly consideration and smoothly process. For example, I had an appointment quickly for viewing flat and after they immediately arranged an appointment for my paper application in their office at the following day, because my medical reason I requested it without online application. The process went smooth and easy to communication with all staff. I and my children are very happy to in the home as it is a very nice flat.I would like to recommend to friends who need a home in the future.

TrustpilotUnnecessarily stressful
Doing a a simple change of tenancy has been the most stressful experience with DJ Alexander. Their emails always came across as quite hostile and threatening for no apparent reason. Every time they asked us to fill in forms and gather documents, they always gave us unrealistic deadlines of 48hrs, which makes things unnecessarily stressful. They even wrote the wrong rent amount on the lease draft thankfully we noticed. When we needed to ask an extension of a few days to give more time to our guarantor to gather their income documents from their workplace, they threatened us to cancel the whole application!? They warned to cancel our application even though we were doing this process more than a month in advance. They say we need to adhere to strict deadlines to give time to their admin process before the move in date, and yet they completed everything after a single day after we submitted everything… so why such strict deadlines and threats when we have more than 30 days of time before moving in? I’ve done a change of tenancy with the same flat but a different agency before and it was simple and stress free. DJ Alexander made most things everything so unnecessarily stressful.

My partner and I recently moved to the UK and enlisted the assistance of DJ Alexander to find the perfect home for us. We met and had the privilege of working with Paul who's kindness, dedication, and professionalism was a massive support to us in such a turbulent time of change. Paul was extremely knowledgeable about the areas and the properties within his portfolio, always answering every question we could have before we could even ask it. The process was smooth, well explained, and streamlined in regards to the paperwork side of things, and the use of Goodlord was an innovative and intelligent touch to the process. After having done viewings and working with a few other letting agencies around Edinburgh, we are extremely pleased with our decision to continue working with Paul for how above and beyond he and everyone on his team went to find us our new home. I also want to extend a thank you to Lynsey who was instrumental in helping us to organize our property viewings and who's friendly service and prompt communication was greatly appreciated given everything else going on. Thank you very much Paul and Lynsey for all of your tremendous help and support, it will not be forgotten.

I had not a very nice experience with dj Alexander. This year a young man came. His name is Mark Hall. I was very sceptical but Mark did what he said.. I wish there were more so experienced, kind people as he. I know I can trust him. I wanted just to thank him for what he has done, he is just a amazing person.

I was looking for a place to rent and 3\4 signs are dummy.They put random signs all over the streets about properties they don't have. For both rent and sell.Customer Support is really bad. I tried calling them and asking on the website. Bots are just limiting my options of communication to filling a form for property that I can't find on their website.

Horrifying experience with DJ Alexander. The property has been rented to us without properly inspecting it. Once we moved into the flat, we found no hot water in the shower, the toilet was not flushing properly, and several other things were broken or in loose - unsafe for kids. We have been showering with cold water for 3 days and still the shower has not been fixed yet. Even one star is too high for DJ Alexander based on our ongoing experience.

Abby was hugely helpful to me. Answered all questions in a timely manner, set up service appointments, and gave general guidance as needed. We purchased a flat for our son to live in as a student - and we are in California! She even directed us to a solicitor to complete the purchase. This was an entirely new process for us and very different to how it is done here. Yasser was also extremely helpful with a lot of little details and we are extremely appreciative.

Generally OK, usually respond well. Key handover was a disaster, only allow keys to be collected during the working day when people aren't free, only gave us 1 set of keys originally. Then delayed the other set being given to us. Also haven't given us the keys for the garden despite moving in 3 months ago and emailing multiple times.
