I would like to preface this by saying that I was under a SIGNIFICANT time crunch but everyone at the Aberdeen office was so helpful at making sure it went as smoothly as it could. Most of my correspondence was with Gill Annand, and I am so glad it was bc she went out of her way to make this move possible.I was so stressed about this move but because of the help of Gill and the rest of the Aberdeen team, I couldn't be happier with where I ended up.

Our short 3 month stint with DJ Alexander can only be described as 3 months of disorganization, poor communication, and extortionate charges.After having multiple issues with the property we were renting from DJ, we found ourselves going round in circles trying to even have the issues acknowledged, so after only 2 months we terminated our tenancy. In our checkout report, our property manager Asif Mohammad stated that the grass in the shared garden space was overgrown, but he stated in the report that we weren't responsible for this; despite this we were hit with a £175 bill for supposedly overgrown grass during our move-out. After checking around for quotes to cut a small patch of grass if was significantly less than what they had charged, but seeing as DJ use their very own gardening services, it wasn’t surprising that they charge extortionate prices to fleece tenants of their deposits.Getting responses from the end of tenancy “manager” Craig Mitchell felt like pulling teeth, we spent months of back and forwards emails. When we tried the deposits scheme, DJ Alexander conveniently waited out the 30-day clock before replying. Frustratingly, almost 5 months after moving out we ended up paying just to be done with it. For anyone thinking of going with DJ Alexander, DON’T DO IT, you will regret. Try other letting agents like Burgh, Clan Gordon, Murrie and Currie etc.

TrustpilotCharging people for move out reference and deducting money from deposit without an explanation
A despicable company that I didn't even sign up with. Originally with Braemore Lettings Ltd which merged with DJ Alexander. Upon moving out numerous problems occurred. I can't even believe that for reference there is a £25 charge??? How is this allowed? Furthermore, they lost the keys I returned and I got charged for them as well. The flat was left spotless following their move-out checklist. The person who did the inspection confirmed that there shouldn't be any charges for cleaning. In the end, I got charged for cleaning as well, without any receipt or explanation of what I was charged for. Shameful behaviour. To be avoided at all costs.

GoogleAwful. We got evicted for the scamming landlords of auchlee wynd sayiny they want to sell and have relet it out as greedy for money and doubled the price. Nasty landlords and the letting agents hide alot. Charge you over 80percent of your deposit. Will never let again.

GoogleAbsolutely shocking company! Rented an apartment which I left absolutely spotless and in good order the flat had multiple scuffs and chips all over the walls in multiple locations when i moved in, now I spent 5 hours cleaning, dusting and hovering the flat with other people to what most people would say is as good a job as anyone could do. They then held my deposit until 04/10/23 when I moved out on 27/07/23 and on the final day having had no correspondence from them not once about anything apart from when they tried accusing me of not returning the keys and asking 4 days after my tenancy had ended if I'd moved out yet (i moved out the day before the agreement ended) so I had to send a video which I had already took of me posting the keys in their letterbox. Anyway they have claimed 265 pounds of the 300 deposit 65 of chips and scuffs that were already there and a £200 cleaning fee!!! I have multiple witnesses and a video of the flat in a spotless condition the day I left that will be sent to the Lettings protection service as they're a bunch of crooks trying to steal people's hard earned money. The whole time i was there they never got anything i asked done the boiler still leaked and the repairs that were agreed before i moved in never got done either. ABSOLUTELY AVOID THIS SCUM I DON'T HAVE ANYTHING AT ALL GOOD TO SAY ABOUT THEM OR MY EXPERIENCE OF DEALING WITH THEM!!! Update 27/10/23 - HA HA Stonehouse the LPS are fully repaying my deposit so your scummy hands aren't getting to steal my money!!! I wonder how many people you unfortunately did steal from though...I would strong advise anyone that's thinking about renting through these jokers to AVOID AT ALL COSTS!!

GoogleIf it was possible to give zero stars I would. We had the worst experience with Stonehouse. We lived in mould for months with no help. We even had to get environmental health involved. Clothes and furniture were ruined. Stonehouse ignored emails and offered no solutions. We had no light in the bathroom for about a month. Microwave and hob broken and not fixed. At the end of the tenancy they wait until the last day of the deadline to refuse to give you back the deposit. We are being charged for ‘cleaning’ charges and for a door that was already broken when we moved in. DO NOT rent with stonehouse unless you want to live in squalor. They have no care for their tenants health or safety.
