My queries and complaints are acknowledged and I am kept updated about progress. In particular, Dale at D. J. Alexander has proved very reliable and helpful. He is attentive and knowledgeable, he gets things done and doesn't leave things unfinished or calls unreturned. I am very satisfied with my letting agent now. I am also confident that they give my tenancy every due consideration in dealings with the owner.

I've been renting with DJ Alexander just over 3 years now, and everyone is quite helpful and friendly. I hadn't had any issues, until a car parking situation with an incompetent agent came along recently. Fortunately, that's not a complaint review, that's a very well done and thank you review that's owed to Lee C. (leasing team) and also to Mark from Maintenance. Lee was there to help us with the documents at the start of our latest move-in and was very attentive, so thank you Lee. Mark was quick to respond to and help with moving things fast and efficiently when we were in need of a replacement appliance and a couple fixings in the flat. He was helpful and followed up to ensure the job was satisfactory completed. Thanks again for your efforts.

Me and my partner were searching for a new flat and I think we all know how tedious the search for a place you can call home can be. We have had our fair share of interaction with other letting agencies in the past that has left us with a lot of reserve when searching for a flat, but I can safely say our experience with D.J Alexander was, simply put, amazing. From their letting agents to their finance and lease departments (special mentions to Mr. David Sullivan who showed us the flats and to Mr. Lee Charlton who took care of all the paperwork), everyone was friendly, quick, accurate and very professional. They were ready to answer all our equiries, they didn't apply any extra letting fees (something a lot of letting agencies do to their potential tenants without informing the tenants in advance (that has happened to us twice!)) and finally the whole process was over in a matter of days. Truly, we thank you for helping us find a place we can call home!

STAY AWAY scammers!!

STAY AWAY! Would give 0 stars if I could. I had the worst experience with this letting agency and have recently found nice flats to rent and seen it’s by them and completely avoided. Let me talk you through my experience. Firstly, when we paid the deposit and told we got the flat we started buying furniture as it was a completely unfurnished flat. After buying everything a few weeks till we moved in we were then told that they had found someone else last minute and decided they would rather they had moved in rather than us. OBVIOUSLY kicked up a fuss and they apologised and agreed to give us the flat. When move in date arrived, I went in to collect the keys I was waiting for 2 hours in the waiting room for them to get everything organised even though I came at the time they told me to come. When I finally got the keys I left and I was maybe 15 minutes into my walk on my way to the flat when I was grabbed (literally) and told they gave me the wrong keys, which is fine, mistakes happen. They apologised and offered me a lift to the flat for their mistake, but then took away that offer and said they couldn’t so I had to walk... again. When I got to the flat the grass was extremely overgrown in the garden, the floorboards were dirty, there was wee in the toilet that hadn’t yet been flushed and the floors just generally sticky. I took pictures and phoned up letting them know the issues. There was also lots of vases, cups and items left by previous tenant. A few months later a woman arrived at my door claiming she was had previously lived at this property and had left a few items in the kitchen and requested to pick some of it up, which I was fine with. Let me reiterate it was my first time moving out so I didn’t know what was the norm, I just assumed that these things often happen. I gave her my number as requested so she could pick up the rest of her items when she was next in the area. Well, 10 months down the line my flatmate decided she was going travelling, and DJ Alexander stated that I could not have another tenant replace her, I would have to move out ALL my furniture for one week to move back in and re sign everything, but we could also be rejected. Wasn’t worth the hassle would have loved to stay but was not worth holding furniture in storage for a week to move back in so we just moved out. Later we received a bill for a total of £560 for cleaning charge and charges because of the overgrown garden... the garden is literally overgrown in the pictures of the flat on the website and was like that when we moved in. They charged us for stains and things left over that the previous tenant left and never picked up, which PROVES there was no check out after she moved out otherwise they would have charged her for that??? Anyway just the worst experience ever I’m completely scarred and I’ve probably left out a tonne of other things but please avoid at all costs. Scam of a company.

Overall the flat renting was very smooth and fast. From Alistair Scott showing the flats and passing our information to the landlord, securing their approval the next day. To Lee Charlton being really helping with the final background checks and signing of thr tenancy agreement. She was always there to answer any questions we had.
