Croudace have kept us fully informed of the sales process from first viewing through to completion. Special mention to the sales staff in this connection. Since moving in 4 months ago there have only been a couple of minor issues with property which were speedily resolved . The site manager has been particularly helpful and friendly in this regard. This approach has also been evident amongst many of the on site workforce. In summary we are very pleased with the property and would be happy to recommend Croudace to prospective purchasers.

Fantastic service from the sales team. I first called last year hoping to buy a property but turns out I wasn’t proceedable but the lovely Nicky gave me really good advice on how we go about buying one at Hertford. All these reviews are right she is so knowledgeable and very polite and patient.I must of driven her crazy with all the calls and questions but she never rushed us at any point. We couldn’t believe when we finally brought a Croudace home and we love it everyday and cannot thank Nicky enough for all her help 5 star serviceOur home is wonderful and finished really good, minor issues which the customer care team sorted

We purchased a house by Croudace Homes earlier this year on Silk Row estate after being recommended by both of my Sisters who also own homes built by Croudace. Once we had purchased the house we paid for a professional Snagger who did pick up several pages of cosmetic snags, thankfully nothing major. When we first moved in there were a few teething problems but I can honestly say the service we have personally received since bringing these issues to Tony (Site Manager) & Ryan (Site Manager) has been super efficient and professional in making sure these snags were completed ASAP by the team. A huge thank you must also go to Steve from the Customer Care Team who helped complete majority of our snagging list. Tony, Ryan & Steve are an absolute credit to Croudace Homes and have made the process of moving into our first home a lot smoother than some of the horror stories I have read online. Overall, we are exceptionally pleased with our new home.

We finally moved into our Croudace home last November after reserving it in April. The process was incredibly slow, with Croudace’s conveyancers taking weeks to respond to our solicitor. At one point we received a call from sales saying our house would be put back on the market if we hadn’t exchanged by 5pm the next day - as it turned out, the reason we hadn’t exchanged was Croudace’s fault, but this was an incredibly distressing experience for us.Unlike most developers, they don’t give you any updates on the build. Even two weeks before our mortgage offer ran out they were still very vague about a completion date - we ended up having to move in with friends because we had to complete on the sale of our house without knowing if we would complete on the Croudace house before our mortgage offer ended and a new one would be an extra £600 a month. Again, I can’t put into words the stress and anxiety this caused.Our house has had a number of problems - faulty windows, patio doors needed replacing, our boiler leaked through the ceiling, the boiler then had issues with pressure (because it hadn’t been installed correctly) that cause it to expel water through the overflow pipe 24 hours a day - this took almost a month to be fixed. The lead flashing at the back of our house wasn’t lead, it was cheap tape which fell off one Friday night when it was -7c with rain and wind and the much vaunted “emergency number” didn’t deem this an emergency. Several of our ceilings need to be re-plastered, paint work in our house is appalling - not cut in properly, flecks of wall paint on the white ceiling. Croudace did do touch ups but they are so obvious that we are planning to re-paint ourselves.We had an issue with damp and green mould growing up the outside wall by our kitchen door, because water was dripping off the guttering. Someone from Croudace came out and was adamant that it was not the guttering, and was happening because it was “in shade” - it is a south facing wall. After probably two months they finally sent someone who immediately said the guttering hadn’t been installed correctly. He fixed it and the wall mould has cleared up. Our garden wasn’t finished to NHBC standards either. It wasn’t rotavated and no top soil was put down. Croudace sent someone round to rotavate but they didn’t do it properly and didn’t take the stones and building rubble away - we ended up paying a landscaper to prepare the ground before he laid turf for us.I will praise the customer care people (who always respond quickly and get repairs sorted asap) and Steve the customer care manager who covers our site - a very experienced builder and the only person we have encountered who takes a real pride in his work.My main gripe with Croudace is the unbearable noise. We have been here seven months and the disruption from building work has really impacted on my mental health and finances. I simply cannot work from home because of the disruption and am spending £100s a month driving to work when otherwise I would be able to work from home. On my days off I can’t relax in my own home and end up going out for the day to escape the noise. Other developments seem to work much faster and screen sections off to reduce the impact on residents but that doesn’t happen here and I feel unable to stay in my own home on weekdays. They’ve now begun working on site until 7/8pm on weekdays and now on weekends too - we now can’t have a lie in or enjoy sitting in the garden due to the noise. If you’re thinking of buying a Croudace home I would maybe knock on the door of someone who has already moved in and get their experiences as some sites seem to be great, but we have been very unlucky.One final point - Until about two months ago, Croudace’s trustpilot score was 3.3. There has been a flurry of five star reviews by people who have never reviewed anything before, many of whom haven’t actually bought a property from Croudace, some of whom openly admit they are trades who are employed by Croudace.

I called the Hertford development and spoke to a lovely lady Nicky I was quite nervous but she was so friendly and took her time listening to me waffle on about my home in Enfield (been here 40 years) so this is a big move for me. Nicky listened to what I am looking for in my new home, she made feel very confident in myself and thinking I can do this moveShe is very knowledgeable not just the product she is selling but also gave me some advice on finding and choosing an estate agent. I felt such confidence and the need to come see the home Croudace are building/selling they sounded wonderful.Two weeks later I turned up without an appointment not know if the sales team will let me view because I went to other developers in Hertford and they just turned me away lowering my confidence.I’m so glad I went in the weekend, Nicky was in and as we walked in she had the biggest friendliness smile. She let us view the wonderful show homes and she took her time in showing me the plan and what we can buy at the price we are looking for.I am hoping to buy one of there future homes in the last phase once we sell our home but I felt happy and confident after seeing Nicky face to face.All the reviews about Nicky are true and I look forward to seeing Nicky when we purchase a house thereWell done Croudace for employing the wonderful Nicky, I have not seen this sort of service in a long while so very rare

Brilliant sales team, undivided attention, great product knowledge, exceptional service.We recently moved into our CROUDACE home at Hermitage Park Maidstone and are on cloud 9. The home is beautiful, the whole team from start to finish have been amazing. We experienced a few delays due to unforeseen circumstances but was always updated with an full explanation. We appreciate that this could happen when buying a new build but the wait was well worth it. Thank you girls in the sales office for looking after us and thank you to the build team for meeting us to explain causes for delays so we had a better understanding. We will definitely recommend CROUDACE HOMES.

Two things - 1) The staff at the Hertford, Blakemore Manor development were all professional and have offered us a a 5 star level of service even after moving in.They were all a credit to Croudace. Dealing with Nikki Chaston & Sarah Holmes in particular made the experience of buying a new home from Croudace a particularly good experience 2) The build quality and thus the small snagging list made the early months easier to deal with. Shrina Patel & Dean who dealt with us from the after-sales team have resolved everything in a friendly & professional way.Having experience of buying new build, the Hertford Croudace staff came out as the best to deal with compared to any of the other previous developers

Terrible sales staff terrible service. This is to do with the Croudace Homes in Maidstone on Hermitage Park site. If you come across Marta (won't say second name due to trust pilot policy but will say first name due to warning and for help to others) then run for the hills. We had nothing but problems from the lack of enthusiasm when your spending over half a million on a house you want a sales person who engages with you to make you want to hand over your money she did not. I looked at a couples of homes on the site and wanted to reserve one. I went for a 2nd viewing and was told that if I wanted it Id come in first thing and could reserve it so I did. On arrival not even a hello from this member of staff just got the keys and walked to the property. Trying to ask questions either she didn't want to answer as we were just ignored or were told I don't know the only thing she said was that our builders are the best and the brick work is great. Looking at the rear of the house the brick work was not flush at all and bowed out in the middle which we pointed out and she just shrugged saying its been approved. With such a negative attitude and unwillingness to help. After looking around some more and getting ignored she just waited outside. We then went back to the office where I said I like it and can pay full price but wasn't happy on a few bits and said we can pay full price but I want to put an offer in as I believe that it was massively over priced coming down just a little. She said we would be in contact which we thought was ridiculous as you want to know then and there or at least within 15minuites or so. So we left to then 5 hours later getting a call saying someone else had put in an offer and there's was accepted. I was fuming to get a call 5 hours after saying someone else has the property where was my phone call where was my chance to up my offer I even said Id pay full price nothing. Then to be told 'it didn't seem like you were that interested' EXCUSE ME who are you to say what I am or am not interested in. This was unprofessional and out of order, especially when I went without sleep for over 30hrs to come and see the property 2 days in a row whilst on night shift. From start to Finnish useless. Id stay well away from these people

We at Suapfit Flooring have worked for Croudace Homes for many years and having been trading for over 55 years working for many house builders, Croudace Homes have been by far the best builder to work for, from Benjamin Walters head of the interior design team, all Sales teams across Burgess Hill, Lindfield, Caterham and Ewhurst. The Accounts team, All site Foreman across these sites and including other trades have made working for Croudace easy, communication has been good, everyone is friendly and they are easy to work with to resolve any issues, Croudace have a great team across these sites that all pull in the right direction to build some of the best quality builds we have come across. If I could give 6 stars for all staff at Croudace Homes across these sites I would, keep up the good work.

We have worked with the Croudace Caterham office for over 18 years. We would consider ourselves well versed in the (South UK) construction scene working with over 100 homebuilders. Myself (and team of 70+ engineers) would perceive Croudace as being one of the UK's leading homebuilders in terms of organisation, build quality and aftercare.Importantly they develop and maintain relationships with both supply chain & end users, in turn constantly enhancing the product and service they provide. A great builder whom I would whole-heartedly recommend.
