GoogleFrom start to finish, Countrywide Shawlands have been fantastic. Every member of staff has been so helpful and friendly, keeping me informed & updated at all times, and answering any questions promptly. In particular, Alarise (Sales Negotiator) was pretty much in touch every day, advising and explaining the house sale process not just calmly & efficiently, but friendly and reassuringly too, which I really appreciated. Would highly recommend Countrywide to anyone looking for a totally reliable Estate Agent.

All costs were explained at the outset and there were no surprises. Special mention to Megan and the others in the team who kept me fully informed throughout the marketing and sales process. GoogleI instructed a solicitor to submit an offer on a property through this agency, and it was verbally accepted. However, shortly afterwards, I was informed that we would need to wait three months before concluding the missives because a tenant was still living in the property. This was never disclosed in the advertisement, which I found misleading. As we could not wait that long, we suggested proceeding as normal. We made it clear that if the conveyancing process was completed within the three-month period, we were willing to wait for the tenant to move out, provided that we would become the new landlords and receive the rental income during the remaining notice period. However, the agent stated that we would not be entitled to any rental income during this time. This was both unexpected and unreasonable. As a result, we decided not to proceed and instead chose to rent another flat. Unfortunately, we then encountered another issue with a staff member named Jamie from Countrywide. Our experience with him was also very disappointing. His communication came across as rude and unprofessional. We politely asked whether a viewing could be arranged on a specific day, explaining that we live far from Glasgow, yet his response was abrupt and dismissive, simply stating, “we don’t have access on that date!” without any courtesy or attempt to accommodate. The tone, particularly the use of an exclamation mark, made the response feel even more discourteous and unprofessional. Overall, I would not recommend this agency.

GoogleHad a very positive experience with Countrywide Kirkintilloch from the initial consultation to value my house with Ryan who was professional, friendly and very realistic about expectations to the handover to Lesley and team managing viewings. I was kept updated at all times and provided with great advice when offers were received at closing. Would definitely recommend Countrywide!!

GoogleI am a family with two young children, both under the age of four. Before arranging the viewing, I asked the agency to confirm whether the landlord would accept a family like ours, and I was told yes. However, after attending the viewing and submitting our application, I was informed that the landlord considers the flat too small for us. Had this been communicated from the outset, I would not have travelled such a long distance to view the property.

GoogleAfter a 16 month tenancy I am afraid I have to change my review. I would not recommend this letting agency. Any verbal agreements made at the beginning of the tenancy will be "forgotten", flat inspections are set up to have you fail when you get to stage of claiming your deposit back, incidents that are reported are either actioned late, or totally ignored because you have put your notice to leave in. If you do need to use this letting agent I recommend getting absolutely everything you discuss or agree in writing. I have been a private tenant for years and this has been the worst letting experience I have ever had.
