GoogleOur experience with this company was God awful. If Google allowed a less than 1 Star rating this is what they'd get. We identified a property that looked promising to rent. To 'secure the property' Cool Cribs demanded a £300 deposit. We were initially told the landlord wanted 6 months of rent in advance, which we managed to get reduced with the use of a guarantor. Our main gripe is the landlord's identity was kept from us. As in, the landlord field was left blank even in documents that we were expected to sign. It was only at the last moment that we saw who the landlord is and after some basic research realised, we had no choice but to withdraw our offer. The landlord features in a very negative BBC documentary and damning Guardian articles, one headline is 'Landlord must hand back £70,000 in rent for letting substandard flat'. When we politely asked Albert from 'Cool Cribs' to return our deposit, he flat out refused and claimed 'our actions are in line with the statutory provisions and industry best practice'. We recommend you find out who the landlord is before giving these guys any money, because they sure as hell won't refund you anything. Google the landlord and if you're happy with the results, then proceed. If you're not happy, you've saved yourself a chunk of money and a lot of stress. They are not interested in customer satisfaction, just making a 'quick buck'.

Ben Marron dealt with the process from the start, and he was excellent throughout. He was always helpful, on top of everything, and very understanding of the situation. Having dealt with a number of estate agents in the past, my experiences haven’t always been great. This time was different. Ben really took the time to hear me out, understood the situation, and handled things accordingly. The whole process felt smooth, well-managed, and far more personal than what I’ve come to expect in the industry. I’d happily recommend Coopers and would definitely use them again in the future.
