Our initial interaction was with Lily Mace in the Ruislip branch, who was so friendly, helpful, and efficient in getting us in touch with Greg and the Coopers Ruislip Manor team, it immediately set the tone for the entire experience. I can’t thank Greg and his team enough for providing such a fantastic service when selling my house. Greg Brayley - 10 stars if available! As buyers, Greg helped us find our perfect home! He stuck to our needs and wants and sent us many properties to look at and view. Viewings always went very smoothly and he would answer all our questions (no matter how many we had!) Although we had a property to sell, and sellers may not favour this, we felt that he supported our position when putting our offer forward even when competition was high. Once offer was accepted, Greg kept consistent communication throughout. From the offset I found Greg to be ‘person centred’ … so important as I’m elderly and on my own. He made the transitional process from putting my property on the market to purchasing another property easier given the shortage of affordable bungalows in my area. I found Greg listened my concerns and he dealt with them diplomatically and reassuringly. I was happy with the way my property was viewed by prospective buyers and because Greg gave a realistic valuation I received offers almost immediately and secured a sale. He looked after my interests, always insuring that my buyer was met and accompanied when they returned for second viewings. Greg liaised with my Solicitor and the Estate Agent of the house I was buying efficiently and ensured Contracts were exchanged in a timely way. I’m honestly heartbroken writing this review. I’ve trusted Coopers to manage my property for over 10 years under a fully managed service, believing they were taking care of my home while I was busy living my life and working hard elsewhere. What I’ve now discovered has left me shocked, upset, and completely let down. The state of my property after the tenant moved out is beyond words, mould, cracks in the walls, doors that don’t fit, patchy paintwork, and furniture left behind. There’s even a yellow film on the walls that suggests someone was smoking indoors. I sent photos of this to Coopers, expecting urgency, empathy, or at the very least, acknowledgment. Instead, my email was brushed off and my photos ignored. Even more painful is the dismissive tone I’ve received from staff like Olivia, who seem to take no responsibility and imply that because I once did a quick visit months ago, with the flat full of furniture, I somehow approved the condition. It feels like gaslighting. I wasn’t there to inspect, I was trusting the agents I was paying to do that. Throughout the years, my emails have been ignored. There was no proactive contact. No proper inspections. I’ve now been told that they don’t carry out formal inspections unless requested and that they don’t even keep records of visits. So what exactly was I paying for all this time? This isn’t just about money, it’s about trust, responsibility, and the emotional toll of seeing your home fall into disrepair while you believed it was being looked after. I feel completely failed by Coopers. To any landlord considering using them: please think twice. I would never want anyone else to feel the way I do right now, upset, angry, and taken advantage of.
