I've dealt with Michael many times in the past who I have to say is the most honest & realistic estate agent out there. Very refreshing! This time I dealt with Nicky who went above & beyond her role in what was an extremely tricky sale. She remained professional at all times, even when times got tough. She was tenacious, honest & patient & I don't think the sale would have gone through without her. We would highly recommend her & the team at Conran Estates, Charlton.

I bought my first property through Michael John at Conran and at the time they were the first, and only agent in the area that didn’t look down their nose at me and my nominal first-time budget. They are friendly and realistic. I’ve subsequently rented out that property through them and purchased a second. Michael and the team offer a fantastic service - quick to respond to queries both inside and outside of the remit of being an agent! Thoroughly recommend and I look forward to using them for years to come.

This is the least serious agency anyone could ever deal with!! I have moved out from a house (that Conran Estates is managing) 6 months ago and I am still waiting for my deposit back. First of all, they kept me in a rolling contract against my will because the landlord had to get a new license, something that is not my fault and disabled me from having guarantors for the next property I wanted to rent. After sending many emails that never got a reply, asking for what is my right to have back (my deposit) I went to the agency to speak to Georgina Hobbs, who always welcomes me in a hostile manner asking what am I doing there, after asking where was my deposit she replied that that was the leading tenant’s problem to solve, when in first instance I transferred the funds to the agency therefore they should be the ones to return it back to me. After many months trying to solve the issue a new tenant has moved in the house and has paid for the deposit, so currently the agency has two deposits from different people but Georgina states that the agency doesn’t do personal transfers anymore in that way my funds are still not in my account.

Dear Eva. Thank you for the review. However, it is not factually correct and, as discussed, we were not at fault in these circumstances. You are one of a number of tenants and chose to move out. Unless you all vacate and return the property with vacant possession we are legally unable to return what you deem as your share of the deposit (under the rules of the deposit protection scheme not our rules). The tenancy entered into is one that ensures all tenants are jointly and severally responsible for the property as we do not do room lets. It was the responsibility of yourself and the tenants on the agreement to find a new tenant to replace you. You did pay your original deposit to Conran but since then the Deposit Protection Service have updated their system - rather than withdrawing all of the deposit, the deposit can be transferred into the names of the remaining tenants and the additional person moving in. It was made clear to all tenants that the incoming tenant was to provide you with their deposit funds. Your fellow tenants found a replacement tenant and they were supposed to send their deposit directly to you but instead send it to us unbeknown at the time. We returned it back to him so he could forward to you - this is the legal way we needed to operate in these circumstances and therefore we did not hold two deposits. As far as the HMO licence is concerned, this had no reflection on your deposit. Your landlord was applying for the HMO licence (due to recent changes in legislation), so the tenancy continued on a periodic basis. Which means all terms and conditions of the original tenancy agreement remain. I hope this has explained the issue.

Hayden at Conran's helped us with our search for a property in the black heath area and I cannot recommend him and the company enough. Hayden was very honest, up front, accommodating and hard working to help us find a place to rent. Unfortunately on this occasion we didn't find a home with Conran's however had it been the case that we did I had no reservations that the rental process would be an easy one that had already been well explained. Thanks again to Hayden and the team.

Excellent service from valuation, organising viewings, negotiations, to progressing with the sale. The team were very experienced, professional and assisted with all the queries promptly, and went well beyond what I was expecting. This was especially given the challenges we had with a chain involved in the sale. Michael was exceptional with dealing with a lot of the issues and became the person for helping to resolve issues for everyone involved in the chain. The rest of the team Robert, Erika, Nikki, Edelyn were also very helpful throughout the process. I would recommend using Conran Estates for anyone looking to sell their property.

Conran Estates went above and beyond in their service to me. I needed to refurbish before selling the property but needed to manage this and the sale from outside the region. Michael was more than happy to act as a keyholder and dealt with contractors to agree access etc. Once the work was completed, Conran Estates arranged for the property to be professionally photographed and marketed extremely quickly - showing the property at its very best. The property had viewings within one day of listing and the sale went through really quickly, thanks to the vetting carried out by their office. Nicola stayed on top of the conveyancers and provided regular updates. I really couldn't have asked for anything more in terms of service and their fees were clearly laid out and were very reasonable indeed - lower than a number of competitors in the area. I would highly recommend Conran Estates to anyone looking to sell their property.

I bought my first property through Conran Estates Charlton and had an excellent experience. I cannot rate highly enough the personability, diligence and professionalism of everyone in the office: at no point was I left in the dark or my correspondance ignored, my requirements for a property were listened to and I was treated with utmost respect throughout. The team, especially Nicky (my agent), were extremely friendly, responded almost immediately to any correspondance and genuinely cared for my experience. Even my solicitor expressed how quick, kind and helpful Nicky was compared to other agents when they liaised with her, Rob too. I learnt from my previous experiences with lettings and estate agents not to expect much of a service, but Conran Charlton completely changed my view of estate agents and I wouldn't hesitate to recommend them to anyone or use them again myself.

I've used Conran for all my tenancies since I started renting out my flat and they've always been lightening quick to respond and very thorough. Michael found me my last tenant, nearly 9 years ago - ideal tenants stay - and when I looked to Conran to find me another, after all these years Michael remembered the property and within a couple of days had carried out a thorough review of the property, its condition and the requirements to re-let, gave me an honest appraisal and did not try and sell additional services - just checked what I needed and took care of everything. AND found me a tenant before the end of the day. Just SUPER.
