GoogleBatcheller Monkhouse provided excellent advice and service to me in the rather complex business of negotiating a renewal of a telecoms lease which since 2017 is subject to the 'New Code' . Ton Bodley Scott was the initial contact who provided a very clear outline of my options. The rest of the work was completed by Robin Whatley and Hamish Payne .They were both professional, communicative , competent and also patient and understanding of my concerns. I changed my mind in the end and they negotiated a long term leasehold with an intermediary company rather than directly with the telecoms operator. I am very pleased with the result and would wholeheartedly recommend Batcheller Monkhouse to anyone in a similar position. It was a pleasure to deal with straight forward, competent, and knowledgeable people.

TrustpilotTENANTS & LANDLORDS AVOID THIS AGENCY AT ALL COSTS.
The list of complaints about this company is so long that it would not be appropriate to give them all here. I have written 3-4 pages to the Property Redress Scheme along with multiple photographs as evidence and have just received notification that the complaint was ‘declined’. I am considering taking this to the Small Claims Court.Interestingly the agent in Battle that was in charge of lettings who I dealt with was Clare Sheffield who solicited me to change from my existing agent in charge of lettings and interestingly was mentioned in the last complaint with the same heading. She appears to have now left within weeks of my complaint but personally I would not go near this company who in my view are only interested in getting their maintenance fee and not fulfilling their contractual obligations.In summary there is evidence that they are freely economical with the truth to cover their failings to exercise due care for their contracted customers. The quarterly inspections are not carried out with care and the Exit Report company was deficient if not negligent leaving out multiple items when cross checked with the first report before possession.I wish I had read the Trust Pilot reviews before switching to them.
