It's literally a building site in it's infancy (time of writing: late Feb 2023). Looked as though the show homes were still being worked on & they're always the 1st to be built.

Had a great experience with Barratt. Firstly Rachael and Wendy at the sales office answered all my questions even the silly ones and were always friendly and welcoming. Secondly the site has been amazing with a special mention to Grant, any snags and he has sorted them for me quickly and professionally. There will always be snags but they get sorted quickly. The site staff whenever coming into my house were always polite and courtious. They even take their shoes off! The only downside is some subcontractors can finish paintwork etc off subpar which means they have to come back and correct. I cannot speak for any other site but i had a good experience at this site so far.

Excellent customer service and site management team. Amanda was professional & really helpful, went above and beyond to chase up parties and ensured everything went smooth on the completion day. There are few snags from the professional snagging service provider which am yet to pass on to Barratt. I’m sure they will fix them all. Callum & Jonathan (site managers) are really helpful too. They even went ahead and gave professional advise to contractors I appointed to ensure their work is also up to standards. From my personal experience, I will surely recommend Barratt homes to my friends & family. Comments from snag professional: Good house with some cosmetic works (which is expected on any new built)

Barratt Homes at Waddsworth Gardens is a fantastic new development, located in a peaceful and convenient location. The friendly staff and simple buying process make purchasing a home here a breeze. The homes are modern, spacious, and well-designed with high-quality construction and finishes. I highly recommend this development to anyone in search of a new home in the area.

Wouldn’t recommend. The area is lovely albeit not very well thought out in parts. Dread to think what it’s gonna be like when peoples kids grow up and have cars as it’s a nightmare as is. The houses in general are nice, we have an Halton and I don’t hate it but the finish is a joke, some of the decision making by the design team is shocking and the response to stuff from customer care is disgusting. They will do their best to push back on everything you say to them, they have tried to not abide by the nhbc and it’s taken me quoting extracts and arguing my case to get them to do anything. Paid a professional snagger (snagsure) the first week we moved in. He gave us 160 or so snags, some of them terrible and many of them shockingly poor finishes. As a few examples. 1. Paint on hinges. 2. A door that catches every time. 3. Scratched windows 4. A wall that is out of plumb 5. Bad bad brushstroke finishes on doors 6. Wrong type of paint used 7. Wrong tiling, misaligned tiling and shoddy finished tiling. 8. Radiators with chips and cracks on them. 9. A misaligned garden fence railing that looks ridiculous. 10. Bathroom door that doesn’t lock. 11. Skirting board used where it shouldn’t be. 12 a hob ring that doesn’t ignite. 13. Missing plinths 14. Scratched cupboard doors 15. A space for a fridge freezer, dishwasher that aren’t the standard sizing so had to be adjusted. We’ve got the fridge freezer in but the dishwasher is gonna be an issue now 16. Extractor fans that don’t work and drip water 17. Leaks 18. Roads that don’t get finished for weeks that cause damage to your cars, we moved in in January, poor people have been in over a year having to put up with that. 19. The living room is freezing, I’ve had to ask for a reassessment on the energy efficiency, great news when gas and electric prices are through the roof. 20. A bannister with paint all over it, weird markings on it and being told that their is nothing they can do (they’ve now dealt with that but the paint on the bannister is apparently okay) 21. A toilet with a radiator so close to it on the left hand side meaning a) you have to sit at an angle on the toilet and b) good luck with putting a toilet roll holder anywhere that’s not free standing. C) burn your leg 22. Air bricks missing. These are literally off the top of my head. Try keeping track of logging, chasing and arguing over a snag list when you work full time! I can’t fault the sales guy Ashley, Darren the site manager is a nice guy and does his best and Andy the snagging guy is really helpful but they are restricted when every house is vying for attention. However, the aftercare team and in particular Jenna are a joke. Everything is a push back, a challenge and you’ll need to threaten or go through with resolution through the nhbc and/or legal action. If you’re thinking about buying on Westminster view then I’d recommend popping round for a cuppa, I’ll do a walk through, the things you don’t notice till you’re in and settling in and then realising the shoddy work. If you’re wanting to buy somewhere and decorate it immediately yourself, or if you have the time and capacity to absolutely hound the snags whilst consistently threatening to go to the nhbc then good luck to you, they aren’t the worst houses at all but they’re definitely not what you’d expect when paying over 300k for something brand new.
Hi Simon. Thank you for your detailed feedback which is really important to us, and we’re genuinely sorry that this was not a better experience for you. We will ensure that these comments are passed to the relevant management team and ask that someone contacts you. Kind regards, Sam
