GoogleNot compliant with Part S of the Building Regulations in relation to EV charging. No charging points setup in new residential development of 100s of new houses. No ground cabling provided if you wish to install an EV charger to your house. On top, installing a EV charger could thousands of pounds to carry out the necessary ground works, as you can't just fix to your house due to health and safety concerns due to the way parking spaces are allocated to house owners.
I wonder how the government aims to reach their net zero emissions target, when the builders are not complying with the regulations even in the new build and how the local councils are approving development plans that makes it difficult to own an electric vehicle.
