Dusty, ugly, poor service delivery and homes fall apart from heat. Low maintenance if any. Hardly any discretion from neighbours and kids always making noice/vandalism in open areas. Low cost houses, that's not insulated, build with the cheapest materials and fittings. Internet is a problem and everything else a shlep in this neighborhood. Houses prices should be reduced by 30-40% Not worth it to live in this neighborhood.

Don’t buy. Avoid at all costs. Barratt homes use first port management company. We were told numerous times that the development hadn’t been handed over and yet we were charged. To make matters worst Firstport were still ‘negotiating’ the price for that year so stopped all maintenance and so we were paying for nothing. I have now had confirmation that our plot hasn’t been handed over but keep getting threatening letting. Barratt homes do not want to know as they just want to move on and wash their hands or it. In a year the service charge has gone from £142 to £184 so imagine what it will be like in 10 years. Avoid at all costs

Love our new house. The quality is to a high standard and not really had any issues. All staff including the builders are lovely. Really happy here so far

I live here. It's set in a beautiful area of Cambridge and set in a quiet area. It has conservation areas set aside and one of the amazing things are the birds of prey. There are 2 families of Red Kites and many other species. It has stunning sunsets every night and the sunrises are astounding... I am quite lucky.

We recently had the pleasure of working with Chloe Drury from the sales and marketing team at Barratt Homes (Franklin Gardens), and I cannot recommend her highly enough. From our very first interaction, Chloe was exceptionally professional, responsive, and genuinely helpful. She took the time to explain everything clearly and patiently, guiding us through each stage of the reservation process with great care and attention to detail. What stood out most was her honesty and straightforward approach, she never applied pressure, but instead ensured we had all the information we needed to make a confident and well-informed decision. Chloe went above and beyond to accommodate our questions, provided prompt follow-ups, and made what could have been a stressful experience feel smooth, structured, and reassuring. This experience was completely unprofessional and felt like clear discrimination against our Asian family. We arrived on time for our scheduled appointment and waited outside the sales centre for over 30 minutes before the sales representative arrived, with two white female customers. Despite seeing my husband, our young child, and me waiting outside, she ignored us entirely and entered the office with them. I knocked on the door and informed her that we had an appointment and had already been waiting a long time. Her only response was to tell me my information was “wrong” and instruct us to keep waiting. She then closed the door and left the three of us, including a young child, standing outside in cold weather for another 20 minutes while she attended to the other customers inside. After the two customers left, she did not check on us at all and instead closed the office door again. I then called the central sales centre to clarify the situation. When I knocked the door again and asked the sales representative for her name, she provided it and then said, “I won’t deal with you,” before slamming the door shut. The central sales staff on the phone clearly heard her rude comment and the door being slammed. This behaviour was shocking, disrespectful, and unacceptable.

Narrow roads with angular kerbs that destroy alloy wheels. Postage stamp drives that force on street parking. No visitor parking. No play areas for kids. Non-existent public transport.
