GoogleFor Balmforth Haverhill: I would not recommend anyone to work with them. Maybe the way that they deal with the tenants and landlords is different. To start with thye gave me the wrong keys, I could not get into the apartment on the day I rented it. Then, I learned that they gave me wrong meter readings so I paid someone elses bills for months. They did not show me where the bin stores are, they were suggesting to check the doors of bin stores around the apartment complex. When I ask for maintenance, they always find an excuse not to fix it. They do not feel they are responsible of anything. Finally, my landlord decided to take the management of the apartment from them to another agent.

I feel the issues with the keys was a human error and a set of keys were handed out for the previous set of locks, which had been changed for which i understand we apologised for at the time.
It was not clear to us exactly which bin store on site related to your apartment as it could have been any of them and we had not been informed which it was. Unfortunately there was not sufficient time on the day to try them all.
We have no record of any maintenance request that was not communicated to your landlord (who is ultimately responsible for whether maintenance is carried out), although admittedly the Landlord did not agree to all of your requests. We did however have 5 successfully completed maintenance items logged over your 12 month tenancy.
The Landlord of the property took your property and a number of others to an alternative agent, for reasons unrelated to our management service, of yours, or any of the other properties.

I ALWAYS SAY THAT IT IS THE EMPLOYEE'S LIKE MIAI AND JOE AND OTHERS WHO GREET YOU IN THE SHOP WHO GIVE YOU YOUR FIRST IMPRESSION OF WHAT TO EXPECT FROM THE COMPANY AS A WHOLE. SO WELL DONE BOTH, YOU HAVE MADE OUR SEARCH FOR OUR FOREVER HOME EASIER.

GoogleI had to get 3 estimates for the selling of my late sister's house. Balmforth gave me the most thorough and personable service of the 3. Everything about the sale was complicated as I had to wait months to get probate before I could sell the house. I also live the other side of the country so could not get there often. Then the worst happened; my husband died suddenly, making it even more difficult for me to travel there, to clear the house, and to deal with everything else. Throughout the whole time, the Balmforth team could not have been more helpful - keeping an eye on the house, always keeping me up to date, answering my questions promptly, but not pestering me when my husband had just died. They quietly showed round many clients, found a buyer, gave advice, and went the extra mile even arranging and being present for a boiler service and taking meter readings. I cannot thank them enough.
