During every step, from valuation and marketing through to completion, the level of service, efficiency, communication, advice, support, professionalism and care was exceptional. The sale was amazingly quick and Matt did everything he could to ensure the process was as smooth and stress free as possible. Thank you so much for going above and beyond - I'm delighted to have chosen Balmforth, Mildenhall and can't recommend them highly enough.

His communication was excellent; we were kept informed at every stage and always felt fully supported. Matt made what can often be a stressful process feel straightforward and even enjoyable. GoogleMatt is just amazing. He offers outstanding customer service. He always took my calls, responded to emails and returned missed calls. He’s very friendly and compassionate, he understands the struggles of house sales & purchases and always had ideas to secure the sale. And just like that, house sold and I’m now in my new home! I would not use any other estate agent now. You just get that ‘extra service’ with Balmforths, which is priceless. Thank you Matt, you’re certainly as asset to your team.

GoogleI have rented for 20 years and Balmforth is the only estate agent out of every estate agent I have dealt with that I would ever recommend to anyone. Their rental process is easy, they are extremely responsive to any issues that happen during the tenancy, and they are quick with inspections. I bought a house through them and they were fierce advocates for buyer and seller, and I cannot recommend them enough.

GoogleJust a warning I would not use these companies. From my experience of the Haverhill branch of Balmforths estate Agents and leading up to their CEO. I have been lied to, Mislead, Ostracised, poorly advised, emails and requests have been ignored. And clearly they have not treated me equally in the sale of our joint owned property. The property has clearly not been marketed correctly and it was advised by the branch manager to except £125,000 less for the property when the first offer was made. This was later denied by the branch manager but later proved to be the truth. I made a formal complaint directly to the CEO and I was asked to follow the complaint procedure they have. Total waste of time and still waiting for stage 2 response. I have asked for copies of emails between Balmforths and my ex partner and her solicitor Adam Harrison and they have all refused to disclose any emails. You have to question if you have nothing to hide why not simply disclose them. I have further concerns with regards their involvement and help to gain a court order and then further implications and the use of the court order in favour of my ex partner. I have informed all involved of this review and I have informed Balmforths any denial of the above would be a further lie, all I get from them is we are complying with the court order which they have used for my ex-partners benefit.

There is no legal or financial connection between Balmforth (Mildenhall) and Balmforth (Haverhill) now being renamed Shires (Haverhill). They operate and are owned as completely separate businesses. GoogleMy journey began on the 20th of May when I expressed interest on a property that had been advertised and went to see the property after scheduling an appointment the viewing went great and the lady that received us was great and we were advised the process will take 3-4weeks of which we had no problem with that as we were serving a 3 months notice that would expire in over 6 weeks as we were looking for a bigger home as our children had joined us from overseas. Our problems began at the referencing stage, the process was horrendous back and forth emails, we sent everything twice. So you first of all deal with the Property Associate send all her requirements and repeat the same process with an external source. We passed through all their compliance, paid all deposits, rent and we were sent a tenancy contract that had incorrect dates which I queried a day before going to collect the keys of which it was the agreed date we had been given to collect the keys only to be told on arrival that the landlord had changed their mind. On trying to explain that we had already prepared and ready to move into the residence we were told there is nothing they could do, I tried to negotiate for a temporary arrangement of even a 3 months tenancy to avoid being homeless I was told I’d have to wait and go through a similar referencing process. At this point I was really upset like anyone would be and my pitch in voice had heightened but in no instance did I swear or curse at anyone one lady who said is the Area manager told me to leave and I’m being rude. Proper recourse would have been to offer me a chair and sit me down to come up with a solution but they let me stand there like I was being unreasonable. They even advised me to go and negotiate with my current landlord agency . I have to commend our current agency for being an empathetic lot after hearing about our experience with Abbey Sales and Letting who then gave us homes to go view in the same day to try help and are still helping whilst Abbey told us we would have to start the whole process on applying online. GoogleI cannot praise Balmforth rental team highly enough over the years I have worked with them , but special praise goes to Mariann in Haverhill for being the most supportive and helpful. Mariann really cares about getting the right tenant into the property . Emails were always answered promptly or a quick phone call always ensured things were resolved promptly for both tenant and property owner. I could not recommend them more highly.
