I have used Balmforth on three separate occasions in the past to sell my prior houses, most recently completing at the start of March 2026. All sales have been fairly quick and handled professionally with the upmost care. From the offset Matt managed to sort a valuation and good quality pictures timely and within a couple of weeks from the date of enquiry the house was on the market! Throughout the process we had a high number of viewings, and Matt, Gavin and Jordan facilitated these. All were knowledgable on the property and dealt with potential buyers in a professional and personable manner. Once we found a buyer Sue led the sales progressing and was always reachable and really pushed all solicitors through to a timely completion! From my offer being accepted on the new house and the completion being handled everything was done in just under three months. Without Sue I don’t believe the process with the solicitors would have been as timely! Thank you Balmforth for all the help!

I cannot praise Balmforth rental team highly enough over the years I have worked with them , but special praise goes to Mariann in Haverhill for being the most supportive and helpful. Mariann really cares about getting the right tenant into the property . Emails were always answered promptly or a quick phone call always ensured things were resolved promptly for both tenant and property owner. I could not recommend them more highly.

Just a warning I would not use these companies. From my experience of the Haverhill branch of Balmforths estate Agents and leading up to their CEO. I have been lied to, Mislead, Ostracised, poorly advised, emails and requests have been ignored. And clearly they have not treated me equally in the sale of our joint owned property. The property has clearly not been marketed correctly and it was advised by the branch manager to except £125,000 less for the property when the first offer was made. This was later denied by the branch manager but later proved to be the truth. I made a formal complaint directly to the CEO and I was asked to follow the complaint procedure they have. Total waste of time and still waiting for stage 2 response. I have asked for copies of emails between Balmforths and my ex partner and her solicitor Adam Harrison and they have all refused to disclose any emails. You have to question if you have nothing to hide why not simply disclose them. I have further concerns with regards their involvement and help to gain a court order and then further implications and the use of the court order in favour of my ex partner. I have informed all involved of this review and I have informed Balmforths any denial of the above would be a further lie, all I get from them is we are complying with the court order which they have used for my ex-partners benefit.
