Getting the job done in a long chain

Teresa Langwaide was the selling agent for a property I purchased. Teresa was reasonable in facilitating the negotiations, and following agreement on key terms, was very helpful in getting to the point of contract exchange. My solicitors were very poor, and Teresa stepped in to make sure that the transaction went through, working to keep the chain on track and towards agreement. She put in a lot of work behind the scenes, and was willing to help where others were not.

I commissioned AS-R to sell my property following 18 months of stress with a large, unnamed agent. Moving to AS-R showed me how an estate agent should really act, in the interests of sellers and buyers alike. AS-R understood the market in which my property was placed and were able to focus on reputable, realistic buyers. My previous agents let anyone through the door and courted any offer, without diligencing the likelihood of executing the transaction – 7 agreed deals fell over. I moved to AS-R and had an agreed sale in 6 weeks, with completion following shortly afterwards. They managed the process incredibly well for all parties from start to finish. Made it very easy to rent a flat

A professional, friendly and effective agent

We sold our 4 bedroom house very successfully with Andrew Scott Robertson. From the initial 2 way discussion with Marc on valuation and marketing strategy, through the brief viewing period with the whole team at both the Wimbledon sites, and finally the agreed sale with William and ongoing discussions during that time, the whole team demonstrated an extremely high level of professionalism and secured an extremely good offer with a very good buyer. With 3 small children and an offer accepted on a house we were buying outside the area, we wanted an effective but brief marketing campaign and we certainly had that. The due diligence that Marc and the team did at this stage was very useful and I felt confident the 3 offers were valid. The resulting price was better than I had hoped for based on conversations with other agents because I believe it was priced right in the first place resulting in lots of excitement rather than being over the odds to begin with. I always felt the team were acting on my behalf and did very well to keep what can often feel like a slow period, moving forward. Thanks for everything and I wouldn't hesitate to recommend you to others.

Good, efficient service

I let my property through ASR for five years. After a bumpy start, I found the staff to be prompt with responses and helpful. Another rough patch ensued after a change in personnel, but after a new manager took over things quickly improved and I was very satisfied with the service and efficiency. As a landlord living overseas, being able to trust the letting agent is very important and hence the person you are dealing with has a great influence over your impression of the organisation. The first property manager and the current property manager were very good, but I did have some bad experiences in between. ASR were flexible over some of the terms of our agreement, which was helpful.
