THE RUDEST ESTATE AGENT I HAVE EVER COME ACCROSS IN MY LIFE! Usually you would expect to be welcomed to to a property you are looking to buy, invited to park on the drive so you can see what it would be like to live there. Not Claudia Romano, who arrives 1 minute before the appointment, shouting out of her car door, "I'M THE ESTATE AGENT SO I GET TO PARK THERE!". And then, once we have driven around and finally found somewhere to park, has the cheek to tell us that we're late and we will not have a full appointment - when we were there first! Prospective sellers - avoid at all costs!!!

There wasn't one house that I viewed with Preston Baker that wasn't beautiful, and the price was great and in accordance with the quality. Even though I did not end up renting with them, I highly recommend Preston Baker in York. In particular, Helen Jollands is a top professional and person that will really care for the potential tenant/buyer and their needs, and Holly Stonehouse is another example of an agent that provides top-class service. This agency's professionalism went as far as to providing me with advice, even when I managed to find a house and take it off the market through another agency; they knew that as a new professional, I had struggled a lot with house hunting, and they did not hesitate to help and answer my questions. For all the above, and taking into consideration my experience with other agencies in York, I highly recommend Preston Baker. Had my final viewing with PB been earlier in dates than the one of the house that I happened to take out of the market at that time, I would be renting with Preston Baker now. Worth 5 stars.

We worked with Angela Williams throughout the purchase of our new home in York. She was wonderful!! We met her on the launch day for the property and she very helpfully played with our two young boys as we looked around the house! This was most appreciated so we could have a really good look at the house without kids hanging off us! She facilitated communications with the vendor and explained their journey to selling. She was genuinely really motivated to support the couple as they had had a bit of a long road to finally selling and this natural interest very reassuring. We feel that we really lucked-out in having Angela supporting us throughout our sale, a very knowledgeable, friendly, and lovely person who we feel was genuinely happy for us when our offer was accepted! TRACEY FISHER, NORWICH. This was my first house move in over 30 years. Tracey went beyond the call of duty to make sure it happened, despite all the setbacks we experienced over many months. Tracey was available any time to advise or explain, and held the entire chain together when it nearly fell apart at the end. Tracy showed admirable negotiating skills and was prepared to give others a nudge when required. Highly recommended and would definitely use her again. But not for a while.

Tony Wood is in one word Brilliant as an estate agent. We needed to sell my Dad’s house which had not been lived in for 18 months. Tony had proactively posted a letter through the door describing his estate agent credentials. Having not bought or sold a house in over 20 years we had the old image of an estate agent. Tony dispelled all the cliches, he is a fantastic professional with a real understanding of buyers and sellers needs, he did social media postings, drone videos etc etc. I could ramble on but all I will say is Tony should be your first choice as an estate agent as nothing is too much bother.

Roberto is a fantastic agent. He was extremely knowledgeable about the property itself as well the neighbourhood. Once we put an offer in he was proactive in getting this over the line. Always available when any parties needed to contact him and was diligent in all his work. Roberto is clearly someone who takes him time to understand the vendor, the property and the buyer. He isn’t there to simply open a door, but talks through the property in its current state and the renovation potential too. Lastly, he is a very decent person and a pleasure to deal with. We would highly recommend him whether you are buying or selling.

Preston Baker have been amazing in dealing with the sale of my house in Wheldrake. It is a slick well-oiled machine, but the agents know their stuff, they really care and pull their finger out to a) get the best possible sale price and b) help make the next stage of the process through to completion as painless as possible. Angela looked after my sale and was brilliant. I simply don’t know how she manages to do it and stay upbeat and give level headed advice. She went above and beyond and I am hugely grateful. Now, I am biased slightly. I used to be the marketing manager at Preston Baker 4 years ago. This means I have seen all the numbers for property launch and know first hand how much the company cares about getting its clients a higher price. Well it works, we accepted our first offer which was £12k over our asking price - a month or so later the buyer pulled out which meant our in second launch we got a lower offer. But the principle worked and I can’t recommend Preston Baker enough. Again a massive thank you to Angela. Solicitors / conveyancers take ages and aren’t the best communicators so I appreciate her persistence in maintains communications up and down the chain on my behalf. Thanks all.
