I recently put my house up for sale with the York Banch. I can only describe the levels of service I recieved as fantastic. All aspects of our house sale and purchase have dealt with quickly and effectively. Most important to me is the fact that all staff have worked above and beyond what would normally be required and have impressed with there enthusiasm to do business 24/7. Karen, Angela and Gemma are highly recommended.

Overall, our experience with Preston Baker was positive in several ways. The initial valuation visit was arranged very quickly, the agent was knowledgeable about the local area, and the company clearly has a strong presence in York. We were also very happy with the marketing materials created for our home, which looked professional and presented the property well. However, there were a couple of areas that we feel could be improved. As first-time sellers, we did not fully understand the implications of paying the estate agency fee upfront rather than after completion. We chose the lower upfront fee, but later felt that our property did not receive the same level of proactive attention as other live properties. Had we understood that this could affect the level of service, we would have made a different decision. We feel this should be explained more clearly and transparently to future customers. At times, we also felt that our agent was more aligned with the prospective buyers than with us as the sellers. We understand the importance of keeping a sale moving, but we often felt that we did not have someone firmly in our corner advocating for our best interests. As we were buying and selling at the same time, we were able to compare the experience with the agent representing the sellers of the house we purchased. The difference in communication, support and advocacy was noticeable, and unfortunately this has influenced which estate agent we would choose in the future.

Booked an viewing for the 2nd of july. When i called to request for the postcode of the property. I was told that the record shows the appointment as cancelled. When i told them i have not received any communication regarding cancellation their reply was that they have not confirmed the appointmentby e mail. Not very good. Very poor service.

We cannot recommend Anthony Coyle-Dowling highly enough. From our very first conversation through to completion, he and the team at TAUK provided an outstanding level of service that genuinely exceeded our expectations. What really sets Anthony apart is the boutique, personal approach. Unlike many of the larger high street estate agents where you can sometimes feel like just another file, Anthony took the time to understand our circumstances, kept in regular contact, and made us feel like we were his priority throughout the entire process. His communication was exceptional from start to finish. We were always kept informed, received honest advice, and never had to chase for updates. The professional photography and marketing of our property were excellent and showcased our home beautifully, which undoubtedly helped attract serious buyers. A special mention also goes to Laura, whose sales support was fantastic. Angela was our estate agent. I felt she wanted to get to know us as a couple. It helped that she had lived on our road as a child. She knew exactly what renovations we had done and the value we added. Our house was sold in 2 days. We had 2 buyers to choose from and both offered full asking price.
