About me... I'm Mark Buchanan, husband to Julie and dad to our three boys, Jack, Bailey and Morgan. Born and raised in Cumbria, I have spent most of my life living in Workington and have worked across the entire county. I first started working in property in 2012 dealing with lettings in social housing before moving on to residential sales and lettings. Since then, I have valued and sold hundreds of properties across West Cumbria and Carlisle, working for both excellent local independent agents and also the largest estate agency name in the UK, Purplebricks, where I amassed over 100 5* Feefo and Trustpilot reviews from happy customers. Over the past few years I've appeared on numerous episodes of Homes Under The Hammer, covering properties from Beckermet through to Carlisle. When we opened our doors in 2020, we never wanted to be the biggest agent, but to provide the best marketing and the best service to our clients. The same is still true today, which is why we receive such amazing feedback from our clients, with well in excess of 150 5-star reviews. He’s kept us up to date with our sale throughout and went out of his way to make sure everything was sorted for us. GoogleI cannot fault Mark throughout the sale of my house. After being on the market 48 hours initially he’d had it sold - the write up and photos and videos that he’d taken were so professional and really showed my home off in its best form. Mark completed all of the viewings of my home meaning I very rarely had to be at the property as I’d already vacated it. The approach was much more personable and above and beyond what you’d expect from typical estate agent. Sadly the sale fell through and Mark was nothing but helpful and supportive throughout the re-sale and was always very responsive to any queries I had along the way. I’d definitely recommend Mark to anyone looking to sell their property and would 100% use him again if I ever needed to.

FacebookHaving had my house up for sale with other estate agents and not getting much interest, I contacted Mark. I had heard lots of positives from people who had used him as well as a mortgage advisor.Within a day of my house going on the market I had more viewings booked in than I had had in total when marketed previously.Mark not only offers a bespoke service, but he goes above and beyond for his customers, (even offering to help me remove a broken light bulb fitting and meeting me to pass my key on at short notice when my partner had taken the spare) He was in regular contact throughout the process and although there were a couple of issues, Mark was knowledgeable and professional in sorting these out.I would highly recommend him to anyone selling a property.

GoogleThis was a very awkward sale; a failed relationship; one party wanted to keep the property and Mark had known that party for many years. However, I have total respect for the way that Mark handled the sale. His professionalism was second to none and he remained impartial throughout the entire sale. This was a property that attracted a lot of interest and Mark will be the first to admit that he has never had as many viewings of a property as soon as it went on the market. To conduct these Mark spent two full days of 13th & 14th February 2021 at the property and had consecutive viewings back to back from morning to evening each day. There were other viewings lined up for the following week too. The offers came in thick and fast and as well as keeping the sellers updated, Mark had to relay information back to the potential buyers once the sellers had made decisions on the offers. Mark gave advice on the offers and it was agreed that the most lucrative offer was not the highest and it is often too easy to let financial gain cloud our judgement. As a result of that advice the house sale went through on 26th March 2021 only 41 days after an offer was accepted. Estate agents often get bad press but I can honestly say that Mark is one of the most honest, hard working people that I have dealt with. He marketed the property in a way it gained maximum interest and that reaped rewards. His bespoke service is without doubt the best package on the market and his commission based fees are the lowest offered by any estate agent. If you want the best service for the lowest price then look no further than Mark. It is testament to his service that more and more properties in the area are now adorned with his FOR SALE boards, and more so that these are changed to SOLD very quickly. I will close by pointing out that Mark sold the jointly owned property to a family that had never considered my house albeit they had been looking for a house in Seaton for years and had passed it day in day out. Mark knew what they were looking for and had told the couple about the property, it’s size and it’s potential and they were amazed by it. I’m sure that the new owners are as grateful to Mark as the previous owners who can now move on with their lives. I strongly advise using Mark to market your property. You will not find a more dedicated estate agent in the area.

FacebookIf you want to sell your house, look no further than Mark Buchanan. My house was on the market for a few years and despite trying numerous estate agents, it wasnt selling. I was reluctant to sell in the first place but my house no longer met my requirements. When I became frustrated with what I considered a fair asking price not being met, the first thing other estate agents suggested was dropping the price. There seemed to be a lack of interest in actually selling my house or finding out feedback from viewers. When I approached Mark, immediately he told me that my house was worth every penny of my valuation. He was interested and motivated to help me sell. The presentation of the house was magnificent, he used videos, photos and 3D imagery of the highest quality. His website is professional and engaging and as soon as I saw my property listed on his website, I felt optimistic it would sell. Within the first week I had 3 viewings and 1 offer. Mark did the viewings for me. His feedback was detailed and I felt he had a personal interest in seeing the property sell rather than just showing people round. During the selling process Mark was on hand every step of the way. He explained the process in a clear and concise manner and any hiccup he was always no further than a phone call away. His professionalism shone through and he really is the best person you could ask for. We would give Mark the highest recommendation and will definitely be going back to him when the need arises.
