About me... I'm Mark Buchanan, husband to Julie and dad to our three boys, Jack, Bailey and Morgan. Born and raised in Cumbria, I have spent most of my life living in Workington and have worked across the entire county. I first started working in property in 2012 dealing with lettings in social housing before moving on to residential sales and lettings. Since then, I have valued and sold hundreds of properties across West Cumbria and Carlisle, working for both excellent local independent agents and also the largest estate agency name in the UK, Purplebricks, where I amassed over 100 5* Feefo and Trustpilot reviews from happy customers. Over the past few years I've appeared on numerous episodes of Homes Under The Hammer, covering properties from Beckermet through to Carlisle. When we opened our doors in 2020, we never wanted to be the biggest agent, but to provide the best marketing and the best service to our clients. The same is still true today, which is why we receive such amazing feedback from our clients, with well in excess of 150 5-star reviews. Whether you're buying or selling a home, it can often be a stressful process. Our aim is to try and relieve some of that stress by offering a personal service outside of the usual office hours of 9-5. That's why we're available to our clients 7 days a week, on a more personal, 1-2-1 basis. Mark and his team have been absolutely incredible in supporting us to buy one of his homes. We stupidly did not use Mark ourselves but thankfully bought a property he was selling and his family have been incredible in speaking with solicitor, estate agents and all parties involved to ensure fast and efficient service. We tried to buy a home through Mark two years ago but unfortunately lost our own buyers and with delays throughout the process we had to take a step back . This year we knew we wanted to find out forever home and thanks Mark and his team we are finally home! Nothing has ever been too much trouble and they have gone out of their way to organise trades when needed and to give advice that has been second to none. Their professionalism and care has been clear throughout. Every person who came to view my home was treated with respect and nothing was ever left unanswered. I recently complete the purchase of a property listed by Mark and am so glad they were the agents involved! The seller struggled to get all the relevant information together, but Claire went above and beyond to keep the deal moving. I've bought and sold a few properties and have to say I've never encountered such diligent, friendly and proactive agents. These guys should be the benchmark for all estate agents - I would 100% recommend and will be using them again.

GoogleGreat guy, as buyers he was very helpful. It was extremely difficult for him as his clients, the sellers were completely lacking in honesty, integrity and empathy. Unsurprisingly they had "bad buyers' before, probably due to a total lack of understanding of how you are supposed to act. He kept the deal going even when he wasn't being kept in the loop by his own clients. Very professional, will happily employ Mark when we move again.

Buying a house is a game to some people and the stress they can inflict can be incredibly challenging. Mark & Julie were with us every step of the way. I cannot thank and recommend them enough! You will absolutely get value for money and after all, looking for an estate agent is certainly not just about the quality of the pictures they take. It’s about who will support you through the process, push the solicitors, liaise with the buyers and keep you updated throughout. To top it off, Mark’s pictures and drone footage were also outstanding, we even questioned if we wanted to keep the house because it looked so good! In a matter of days we had 8 offers! GoogleMust say it is well worth the cost. We were advised to never pay over 1% from another estate agent but getting in touch was difficult with them! This is totally the opposite with Mark and the team, they are available whenever to respond to queries to our mind at ease. With that and the amazing marketing you would think that is enough, however with house almost falling through twice, Mark along with their extensive contacts (special mention to Dan Brown mortgage broker) were able to save the deals and keep things ticking forward. GoogleI should have done this a while ago {sorry Mark!) but we bought a house that Mark was marketing and hit a few problems with things like boundary issues. I can honestly say that without Mark's help the deal would not have gone through. I worked in real estate for over thirty years and dealt with estate agents all over the country with very mixed results. In all that time the only agent who has genuinely impressed me is Mark. He pulled together the people and resources we needed to sort out the obstacles to the deal going through in a way that we just couldn't as we were relocating from the south east to Cumbria so had no local contacts. Mark did what the best agents should, he found solutions. He didn't put on the hard sell to try to force me to accept something I didn't't feel comfortable with. Instead he worked with me to get me to where I wanted to be. It shouldn't be so rare but it is so I can't recommend Mark highly enough. By head and shoulders the best agent I have ever dealt with.

GoogleMy brother and I would highly recommend Mark and his team. Mark was professional from the first meeting we had with him. He explained clearly to us his marketing strategy for selling our parents bungalow, which gave us great piece of mind. We live a long distance away but Mark was always available to answer our questions and offer valuable advice when we needed it. He marketed our parents property in a highly professional way with great photographs and a virtual video that really helped to sell the bungalow. He kept us up to date with any viewings and guided us through the whole process with his knowledge and experience. We couldn’t have asked for a better estate agent to work on our behalf. Thank you to Mark and Julie for their help and support on our journey with finding our house. They were both so patient with us showing us several properties and just when we thought we were going to lose the sale of our house they came up with Craig Road that hadn't gone to market yet and was just what we had been looking for. Nothing was ever a problem even when we sent questions late in the evening the responses were always prompt. Thank you for making things seamless for us in finding our perfect home.
