About me... I'm Mark Buchanan, husband to Julie and dad to our three boys, Jack, Bailey and Morgan. Born and raised in Cumbria, I have spent most of my life living in Workington and have worked across the entire county. I first started working in property in 2012 dealing with lettings in social housing before moving on to residential sales and lettings. Since then, I have valued and sold hundreds of properties across West Cumbria and Carlisle, working for both excellent local independent agents and also the largest estate agency name in the UK, Purplebricks, where I amassed over 100 5* Feefo and Trustpilot reviews from happy customers. Over the past few years I've appeared on numerous episodes of Homes Under The Hammer, covering properties from Beckermet through to Carlisle. When we opened our doors in 2020, we never wanted to be the biggest agent, but to provide the best marketing and the best service to our clients. The same is still true today, which is why we receive such amazing feedback from our clients, with well in excess of 150 5-star reviews. Whether you're buying or selling a home, it can often be a stressful process. Our aim is to try and relieve some of that stress by offering a personal service outside of the usual office hours of 9-5. That's why we're available to our clients 7 days a week, on a more personal, 1-2-1 basis. I’ve worked with Mark before when buying, so I knew I was in good hands, but selling with him (and Holly) was just as good. From the valuation through to getting it on the market, everything felt really straightforward and easy. The photos and video were honestly amazing, so good they nearly made me question why I was even selling in the first place. The house sold in under a week, which says it all really. Mark & Team were always quick to respond, happy to answer any questions, and nothing ever felt like too much trouble. They really do go above and beyond.

This is the second time we have sold a property with Mark in the last 4 years. Although this time we had difficulties with the chain and process took some time it was through the ongoing hard work and commitment of the team that we sold and bought our new property. The team communicated with us , our buyers , solicitors and other Estate Agents in the chain to ensure we were well informed at all times. Above and beyond what would be expected from an Estate Agent. We would definitely recommend Mark Buchanan property group to anyone and would use them again, but hopefully not too soon !

Mark and the team managed to fit me in very quickly to give me a valuation and upon confirming to go with Mark, they all very quickly came and got pictures, videos and the information needed. The advert was up in days and were already taking viewings from Facebook before it went live. Once sold, mark and the team sorted all connections and recommended a solicitor to assist with the sale/ purchase of property. I’ve used Mark 3 times now during house moves and wouldn’t use anyone else! Highly recommend!

GoogleFrom the start, via a very bumpy road to completion (due to a very challenging buyer), Mark & Julie have been absolutely fantastic and certainly go the extra mile. Buying a house is a game to some people and the stress they can inflict can be incredibly challenging. Mark & Julie were with us every step of the way. I cannot thank and recommend them enough! You will absolutely get value for money and after all, looking for an estate agent is certainly not just about the quality of the pictures they take. It’s about who will support you through the process, push the solicitors, liaise with the buyers and keep you updated throughout. To top it off, Mark’s pictures and drone footage were also outstanding, we even questioned if we wanted to keep the house because it looked so good! In a matter of days we had 8 offers!
