Hi Michael, you have been a good customer of Grisdales, so sorry to hear how you feel. We are more than happy to discuss further should you wish, and explain in further detail. Strictly speaking a sale can only be classed as 'gazumped' if an offer has been formally accepted, evidence of proof of funds & ID provided by the offerer and solicitors instructed thereafter. Until that point a property would remain on the market open to offers as this would be in the best interest of the seller, who is our client. Sadly 'gazumping' is still legal until a property is exchanged, although it's certainly something we neither support or encourage and thankfully is very rare these days.
