The team were very supportive and efficient in sorting our new house out. Which my wife and I are both very happy with, after relocating from down south they made the whole process very easy. Would advise using them and will do ourselves. A special mention to Alison as well who was great.

GoogleAfter 13 years of renting the property out with Grisdales we decided to put it up for sale with them. A good and fair price was negotiated by debra, any queries where quickly sorted and hassle free. It took 8 weeks from start to finsh. We where very pleased with the work that debra did on our behalf and would recommend Grisdales to anyone wanting to sell a property.

Very positive experience with the Whitehaven team, particularly Katie and Leslie. Both these ladies were reliable, friendly, helpful and professional. Estate Agents have not always the best reputation but this company have two excellent members of staff here who worked as a team, rang back every time I left a message, extremely dependable, and a positive attitude to their work and their customers. Shocking customer service from the Lettings team at Whitehaven. Referred to potential tenants and enquiries as " noise ".Slow to send applications to the landlord. We found out we had been unsuccessful by seeing the homes had been let online. Poor communication on the progression of applications. No empathy and dismissive. Instead of saying there is nothing we could do to improve our application, perhaps seek feedback from the landlords. Feels like applicants are chosen by favouritism. Customers don't want to hear repeatedly "we are busy" as a reason for poor communications.

Grisdales is currently experiencing an unprecedented volume of applications, averaging more than twice the number in the same period last year. Despite such high demand, only one applicant can be selected for each property. We appreciate how frustrating it can be to miss out on a property you were interested in. We feel it is important to clarify that the final decision on tenant selection rests entirely with the landlords. Our role is to present all applications, and the landlord chooses the tenant based on their personal preferences. There may not be anything you can do to improve your application, as the choice is subjective and not necessarily a reflection of your suitability. It is disappointing to hear that you felt dismissed during your interactions with us. Our team strives to go above and beyond for our clients, and it is disheartening to know that in your view we did not meet that standard. While we aim to keep all applicants informed, sometimes the volume of applications affects our ability to do so promptly. Dealt with a few different letting agents in Cumbria, but Grisdales was by far the best - really responsive and friendly and made the whole process of renting a flat very quick and efficient, particularly for someone who was moving up from the other end of the country. Would highly recommend them.
