My wife and I went through Martyn Gerrard in finding our new home in Whetstone. Specifically, we had their agent Declan Morgan tending to our search. We were so delighted to have Declan looking after us. He was straight forward and upfront regarding the properties that we looked at. And, when we finally settled on the property that interested us the most Declan was superb with assisting us with navigating through the proposal process. Since putting in our bid and having it accepted, Declan bent over backwards to help us when we needed to see the property numerous times for builders and surveyors. The experience with Martyn Gerrard has been wonderful!!!

I wish I had listened to Stewart from the start, but had my head turned by a slightly lower fee - had I have known the difference in levels of service I would receive from both agents I would never have gone with the other agent. We received feedback after EVERY viewing and we sold the house for the price he valued it at. I cannot recommend them highly enough by far and away the best agent in Whetstone! Their in house mortgage advisor was a great help also who helped and guided us to buy our next property.

My partner and I were really pleased with the customer service we got from MG. Our estate agent Declan was knowledgable about all the properties we viewed, the areas, and the potential changes we could make to each property to increase their value. He was in regular contact with us until completion. He was very responsive to our e-mails and calls, and went above and beyond we thought to speed things up when other parties weren't being so communicative. Wish I had instructed Stewart and the team at Martyn Gerrard to sell our flat! We unfortunately decided to instruct Hethringtons and the experience was incredibly disappointing. We wanted to change agents to Martyn Gerrard and Stewart was incredibly responsive and proactive. The process to engage with Martyn Gerrard was excellent, and their use of technology to take you through everything was clear and easy. Stewart also provided valuation letters for my mortgage within the hour, which was greatly appreciated. Just as we were about to change to Martyn Gerrard, we received two offers for sale through Hethringtons but they handled the process terribly, yet Stewart (who was not even our agent) regularly contacted me to ask how our transaction was proceeding. We made a big mistake not instructing Martyn Gerrard from the start and I have since recommended them. If we sell a property in the future, I would definitely want to work with them.

My selection of Martyn Gerrard (Whetstone office) as the Agents who would exclusively be selling my flat was coincidental. I walked into the office thinking it was another firm (whom I had already called and had further questions to ask). Once the office became aware of the reason for my visit, I was immediately introduced to Stewart Willerton, the sales manager, I explained what I wanted and made an appointment that afternoon for him to visit and valuate my flat. So far that is much typical steps with all the other Estate Agents that I contacted in Whetstone, (5 in all), the meeting with Stewart and the genuine friendly and professional discussions with him about what Martyn Gerrard had to offer… was the clear difference between them and others. All it seemed the others wanted was the signature on a contract and to get that they were prepared and did say anything and promised everything from out of back pocket ready buyers with cash in hand to how hard it was to sell these days but they can do it… I chose Martyn Gerrard despite the fact that I contacted them by accident, but I was impressed by the work ethic and professionalism of the manager, Stewart Willerton and his staff. It seemed that he has a genuine wish to help and to sell, he gave me genuine advise on valuation and in general I liked his attitude as an individual. I have not known him before I walked into Martyn Gerrard’s Whetstone office three weeks ago. But I am glad I do now. I am sure he has a great future ahead of him and I wish him, and Martyn Gerrard, good luck for future. I would not hesitate to recommend, Martyn Gerrard in general and Whetstone office and Stewart in particular, to all my friends and family.

Very helpful and supportive agent, great experience for a change

Though our property hasn't gone through yet, Marco has certainly changed our view about estate agents, we have had a nightmare with buying our first property but he has always been supportive, communicative and trying to either allay our fears or being informative each step of the buying process. Roberto is highly recommended!!!

Roberto was my agent for my first property purchase. He was so helpful throughout the whole process - from initial viewing to completion. He was always on the case ensuring all parties including solicitors, the vendor, mortgage brokers etc. were in the loop with the property. As a first time buyer Roberto made me feel comfortable that everything was moving in the right direction. He also has excellent negotiating skills and ensured a fantastic price was accepted so that everyone was happy. There were a few hiccups along the way which were outside our control but Roberto ensured everything went smoothly and dealt with everything efficiently and I can't recommend him enough! He was always just one phone call away if I needed anything or had any questions and he would always give me updates on where we were with the purchase. I was really impressed and am feel fortunate that I had him as my agent on this purchase. His knowledge of the local area and surrounding areas is second to none and it really helped me decide on which property to go for etc.

Efficient and friendly service

I recently purchased my first property through this agency and had a great experience from beginning to end. The online facility to book a viewing was very handy and I received a phone call the next day confirming the viewing. Marco arrived on time to show me the property and then gave me as much time as I needed to look around. I decided to put an offer in the same day and he was very helpful with negotiating a price for me and even stayed late after work to continue until my offer was accepted! Marco then kept in regular contact throughout my purchase to update both the seller and myself, and was always friendly and helpful, particularly as I was a first time buyer so was unaware of the process involved. Thanks to him I was able to exchange contracts 8 weeks after my offer was accepted and completed 2 weeks later. Also, whenever Marco was unavailable in the office there was always someone else to answer the phone and take a message, so I always had a very efficient and friendly service.

I have been dealing with estate agents for many years now, and have therefore chosen to post a review about this individual, based on the fact, that he has regained my trust in estate agents. Jason Ramsay of Martyn Gerrard, Whetstone, London, is a highly professional and committed agent, one with integrity and great understanding of what it means to deal with property as more than just a structural shell for individuals and families. Having recently undergone a worrying and uncertain few months due to my landlord's decision to put the flat I rent, on the market for sale, I could not have asked for a more sympathetic and considerate agent to take this one. Jason, without fail, kept me updated on viewings and always provided sufficient notice before any viewings were confirmed. He showed complete respect, and although rented, this was still home to my daughter and I. Having received consent from my then landlord, he was also able to push for an investor to purchase the flat, in the hope there would be a better possibility for me continue my tenancy. I would like to congratulate Jason for his hard and honest work during the entire process, and thank him profusely for helping my daughter and I continue our tenancy at the property. My new Landlord is wonderful which is a bonus! There is a certain stigma around what it means to be an estate agent, and having purchased and sold properties, rented myself and rented out properties, I have experienced first hand how this stigma may have developed. However, I am so pleased to say that this certainly is not the case with all, and Jason Ramsay has restored my faith in the industry. He is a real credit to Martyn Gerrard estate agents and to the industry as a whole. Excellent service

We would like to praise Roberto from the Whetstone office of Martyn Gerrards. He took time to listen to our requirements and made sure what he offered met them. Its reassuring to know there is an estate agent out there that does listen. After a few viewings we found a place and made an offer. Happy first time buyers

First class service - Sale of property review

I am due to complete on the sale of my property at the end of this month and wanted to write a review regarding the service that I got from David Mitchell and his team at the Whetstone office. Sale of my property

The staff at Martyn Gerrad Whetstone, have been attentive from start to finish. I almost had the whole team help me through the ups and downs of the problems that arose throughout. But recently Heran Jethwa has been absolutely fantastic to say the least. Always on the ball, ready to help and at the final stages was chasing all the necessary contacts to 'close the deal', from agents to solicitors to everyone that was in this nightmare of a chain! The words THANK YOU do not seem enough, to show my appreciation to Heran and the whole team that helped me through this most stressful sale.
