Fatmir was absolutely fantastic throughout the whole process of buying our new home. He was professional, responsive and incredibly helpful from start to finish, always keeping us updated and doing everything he could to keep things moving smoothly. He was easy to reach whenever we had questions, dealt with any issues quickly, and genuinely went above and beyond to help us get the purchase over the line. The whole experience was made much easier because of him. I couldn’t recommend Fatmir highly enough. An excellent estate agent and a real credit to Martyn Gerrard. Thank you again for all your help!

Martyn Gerrard are exceptional estate agents. We had put an offer in on a home we wanted to buy but needed to sell our 2 bedroom maisonette to finance it. The pressure was on but within 1 week Martyn Gerrard found us a great buyer and negotiated his offer up to an amount that worked for us. The buyer they found was high quality as well, moving quickly themself but also being patient in our chain when needed. Martyn Gerrard managed the whole sales process seamlessly. They are more expensive compared to some competitors (we got valuations from 2 other firms who would have charged less) but they are worth every penny. I don’t think anyone else could have delivered the results they have! Will recommend them to everyone I know. Special shoutout to Adriano who is just exceptional!

We contacted this agency today about a rental property in cockfosters London and had a very concerning experience. I was told that before even arranging a viewing, I had to complete an “income check” by opening my banking app and following their instructions so they could verify my finances in real time. I was also told that if I refused, they would not show me the flat. This is not normal or acceptable practice in the UK. On the same day, my English friend called about the exact same property. He was not asked to do any of these checks, even when he mentioned he could provide payslips. There was no mention of any banking app access or unusual verification process. This difference in treatment is extremely concerning and raises serious questions about discrimination and possible racism based on background or accent. Everyone should be treated fairly and equally when enquiring about a property. I am aware of my legal rights and will consider reporting this behaviour to the relevant authorities and the local council. Practices like this should be properly investigated to ensure tenants are protected from discrimination and unsafe requests for personal financial information.

I’ve been meaning to write this review for quite some time, and I’m honestly a bit embarrassed it’s taken me a whole year to get around to it, but life had other plans! We completed on our house last year, right in the middle of a very hectic period that included the arrival of our baby and a full round of renovations. It’s only now, with things finally settling down, that I can properly reflect on just how great the experience was. From start to finish, the service we received from James at MG Whetstone was outstanding. Buying a home can be stressful at the best of times, but throughout the entire process, James was professional, responsive, and incredibly supportive. He kept everything moving smoothly, communicated clearly at every stage, and always made us feel like a priority, even when things got complicated (as they inevitably do!). What really stood out was his honesty and genuine approach. There was never any pressure, just helpful advice and a real understanding of what we were looking for. That made a huge difference and gave us confidence in every decision we made. Looking back now, a year on, we’re so happy in our home and genuinely grateful for the role James played in helping us get here. Even though this review is long overdue, it’s very well deserved. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend James to anyone buying or selling, an absolute pleasure to deal with!

I had a very concerning experience with this agency before even being able to arrange a viewing. I was also told that if I wasn’t willing to do this, they would not proceed with the viewing. This is not normal or acceptable practice in the UK. No legitimate letting agent or referencing company should require live access to your bank account or pressure you into sharing sensitive financial information just to view a property. Because of this, I did not feel safe and decided not to continue. I would strongly advise others to be very cautious and never open your banking app or share financial details in this way. Proper referencing should be done securely using documents through recognised channels, not through live access to your personal accounts.
