Extremely disappointing experience with Smart Homes Agency. Their team was unprepared during house viewings, failed to highlight any of the property’s strengths, and gave no feedback at all. Communication was poor and the whole process felt disorganized and unprofessional. I would not recommend them to anyone looking for a reliable estate agent.

Having to move our 'late' Mother's home on, Smart Homes was definitely the right choice for us. Sell or Rent was 'our' options for a home in need of a cosmetic facelift or a sympathetic restoration in a decent location. I cannot fault the service I have received at Smart Homes from Josh. My sale had fallen through after 6 months with another estate agent, I spoke to Josh who was extremely helpful and knowledgeable, my property was put up for sale the following day and within 2 days- 4 viewings, 3 offers. The offer I accepted was more than my previous sale. Would also like to thank Jamie for the viewings and Nicola/Tom for keeping me updated. An excellent experience, would certainly recommend.

We recently sold a rather niche commercial building through Smarthomes using Warren Matthews and his excellent commercial team at their Shirley Office on the Stratford Road in Birmingham. The care and attention delivered by Warren and the whole team was absolutely brilliant from start to finish with a high level of professionalism and a wealth of experience and common sense that made selling the place as easy as falling off a log. They were always available to answer our queries and Warren kept us personally updated every step of the way and we were guided through, what can be a mine field,with the minimum of fuss and consummate ease. Warren acted as the perfect go between for us as sellers and the buyers and the best compliment I can pay him is that if he should contemplate leaving the property market then there is a role for him with The United Nations. I have no hesitation in giving the commercial department at Smarthomes five stars in every department and that includes value for money as their prices were extremely competitive. From my experience since Gin has been involved in the sale of our property I can't think of a better role model for how a service should be delivered. She has been outstanding. When solicitors were not pulling their weight Gin has kept the pressure on, she's informative, personable, trustworthy and a credit to Smart Homes. If I ever sell a property in the future I want people like Gin at the forefront. Smarthomes has made the whole process a lot easier under difficult circumstances. I wouldn't go with anyone else based on this.

Thank you so much Smart Homes! After a struggled few years on and off the market with multiple agents, Smart Homes were by far better than the rest. Communication was never an issue, their attitude remained enthusiastic and helpful and we are so pleased to have got our home, which meant so much to us, over the line. In particular, Helen and Laurentia were fantastic to deal with. Laurentia unfortunately had to deal with terrible buyers on our behalf and she did so with grace. Helen was then a dream to deal with and always put my mind at rest as she knew we were so anxious/stressed with it. I found the whole process of my house purchase from start to finish to be excellent. I have to give a big shout out to Debbie Guest in the sales progression team, she went over and above what I would of expected for her job. She always calls back when she says she will and also follows up any queries required. I have to say the service from Rory was excellent from start to finish, we were able to contact Rory easily and any questions or queries we had, he dealt with straightaway. This process hasn't been straightforward and there were times when we were waiting weeks for solicitors to action certain parts of the process, despite this Rory remained patient and still gave us fantastic customer service. we are now in our new home and despite the purchase being completed nearly a month ago, he still makes contact to ensure we don't need anything further. We bought a new build (and our first home) with Smart Homes in Shirley and from our initial purchase to completion we felt that the team were entirely supportive and had our best interests at heart. We also looked at many properties in the area, and several homes with Smart Homes before deciding on our apartment and our viewing experience with them always came out on top. We opted to use their mortgage broker who was great at keeping us updated, discussing our options and making sure any blips were addressed quickly. We got a great rate too which during times of uncertainty was really important. Their help with applying for the Help to Buy Equity Loan (which is very complex and filled with forms) was invaluable and our broker Louise was an expert in the process. I must give a special mention to Rory in New Homes who always accepted our calls, responded quickly and made the entire experience much less stressful - he is an asset to the Smart Homes brand. At no point did we feel pressured, rushed or like we were just another sale. Throughout the whole process Smart Homes answered calls and emails and replied promptly, always within a few hours. If Rory wasn't available then colleagues were up to date on the status of our purchase and always offered their advice!
