Absolutely awful, I regret ever walking into their offices. Estate agents came round with viewings without informing me, at times without knocking, walking in unannounced with viewers, once when we were getting dressed! Valuation was clearly far out, they dropped their valuation 30 000 immediately after signing me up, only having the top price very briefly and the price dropped just days after the advertising on websites finally happened . Conveyancy team they recommended held up my sale for months, sitting on documents and not sending things through. My plan was to sell my house, then buy another, they were keeping hold of paperwork and not allowing next steps as they thought I would be selling and buying on the same day, despite dozens of email and phone calls saying the opposite. Throughout the sales process I had marketing calls asking if I'd like the house valued for sale, valued for rental, would I like to buy a property continued despite already being contracted to them. These phone calls and emails are still ongoing, coming up to the three year anniversary of my move and again despite repeated refusals. This is the reason for this review today, I'm fed up!

I am with rentals through Romans and have come in contact with their several property managers. The concept of property manager is quite good as they are a single point of contact for all your issues to deal with the landlords both ways. While all the property managers I have interacted with have been helpful, I must appreciate Manasi Bhatt whom we have come in contact with recently. She took over from her colleague and helped us with an issue of removal very prompty by liaising with the landlord and arranging the same. It was dealt with competently and very thoroughly. Thank you Manasi and great to see such a professional service from Romans.

We are relocating to Reading from Germany. I had contact with a few agencies in Reading but none were so quick, friendly, competant and as helpful as Charlotte Wild. We have managed to organise a house over the phone and online and Charlotte has gone out of her way to make everything run as smoothly as possible. She has made several international calls for us for various things i have forgotten or didnt understand and her customer support has been fantastic. Looking forward to having someone so friendly and helpful as a contact person at Romans while we are in the UK. Would not hesitate to recommend Charlotte and the team to anyone. Thanks again.

I was looking for a new property for letting and I’m doing this process for the first time on my own. I made a list of property and shortlisted property was under Romans agent and I went to the office to negotiate and looking for further information. I found the team in general very helpful and having the motive to support customers by nature. Luckily, I met gentleman Christopher at the front desk. He was very helpful to receive my order to proceed and transfer it to Kayleigh hand to work on it. Kayleigh was the consultant guiding me to finalize letting process. The most important point I would like to mention about Kayleigh and her work is how organize and open to answer every question I raise about letting procedure in a professional and friendly manner. Frankly, she make the experience with this company nicer and easier. For that, I would have no problem to recommend Romans to whom looking for properties in Reading and surrounding area. I struggle to put into words how terrible the experience of dealing with Romans has been. I would NEVER use Romans or recommend anyone else use them. They have redefined incompetence. Romans were signed on to act as property managers for us. The service promised was exceptional, and the delivery of any service has been non-existent. From significantly over-estimating the rental income (by £150pcm), to failing to market the property correctly (for example incorrect floor plans, advertising as a 2 bdrm property when it is 3bdrm), dealing with Romans has been a nightmare. Immediately after tenants were eventually signed up for a one year tenancy, I had already put a reminder in my calendar to terminate using Romans as soon as that period ended. Communication from Romans is unbelievably poor. When rent was not paid, it was up to us to notify Romans before any action was taken. This happened on multiple occasions. It seemed like Romans were not even tracking when or if rent was paid. Inspections were missed by their property managers, and no action was taken on the content of the report when they were done, simply a “we trust you are happy with this report”. Any maintenance required on the property was not followed up, and it was up to us to chase Romans to get basic work done (even though it had been identified in their property report). This is just a snapshot of how useless Romans have been. I cannot stress how strongly I would advise anyone to stay away from this company. If it wasn’t me on the receiving end of this atrocious service, I would laugh at how incompetent this team is. Property managers are hired and paid to work in the interests of a landlord, and Romans simply do not deliver any service at all. If zero stars was an option for this review, that is what I would assign them.

Ive wanted to find a 2 bed property to rent for quite a while now, but haven't found the perfect one I was looking for, until I spoke to Katie McCabe on the phone the other week. I recommend the Roman Agency for the following reasons: Seriousness. Verbal agreements have been respected, everything has been made transparent. Professionalism. There were things discussed about the subject, there were no unclear things. Promptly. I could have had meetings when I had the opportunity, including Sunday. I recommend to those who want to rent an apartment to contact an agency that respects both, the tenant and landlord. The Romans agency will be the first agency for me to call for real estate acquisitions / sales in the future. Personally, and last but not least, I thank Lucky Sherpa for all the major efforts made in the 3-4 days until signing the contract, sometimes over her work schedule. I am very pleased with the location she found and enjoy all the comfort. She is professional, understanding, obedient to the client and her efforts are welcome. Lucky Lucky Long Success !!

Romans are very quick to ask for money to pay for their service and then once paid they will not respond to any calls or emails.they give you false hopes of buying process and ended us up in buying rented property for time-being with poor communication untill we decided to go through different agency and bought a house within two months. I completely understand that it's not entirely up to the agency for mistakes but in this case they were to blame as they were not responding to my calls and only bothered to respond when I informed that I was pulling out after holding me for almost a yearNegativeResponsiveness
