GoogleI would really recommend them to everyone as they are professional, quick, kind and helpful. Out of the team, I would like to highlight Janine who helped me through the whole process which is a bit more difficult as I am from abroad. The paperwork were done within a few days so even if you have a week only to find an apartment, they will be able to help you out.

GoogleWorst letting agent who I have met. We were forced leaving the property 2 months before we wanted to move back to Hungary. After the tenancy they wanted us to pay for the damages what were done before we moved in. Dps helped us to get our money back.

Dear Denes, We're obviously disappointed that you feel that we have let you down. Your property manager Mark was especially surprised by your review given the nature of the relationship that he shared with you and Laura when you lived at the property. There are a couple of issues that you raise and I know that our head of property management has tried on numerous occasions over the past week to call and email so that we are able to explain these to you... but with no success. You should understand that whilst we try our very hardest to support our tenants, we take instructions from our landlords and vendors. In this instance the landlord instructed us to market the property for sale. We understand that this is often a source of disappointment for tenants who are settled in their homes. We informed you of this in April this year. At the point that a sale was agreed in May this year we communicated this to you and outlined the implications for your tenancy. The sale completed in August. I understand that you requested to extend your tenancy beyond the point at which completion was scheduled to take place. We passed this information to the purchaser who informed us that they would not be willing to extend your tenancy. To be absolutely clear - as much as we empathise with your personal circumstances, this is not a decision that we were able to make or influence. In terms of our role in the deposit return process, we provide the landlord with a check-out report detailing the condition of the property once it has been vacated. This is compared with the condition of the property at the start of the tenancy as outlined within the inventory. The landlord provides us with direction on whether they wish to make any application for deductions against the security deposit. We do not make this decision nor do we gain financially in any way from applying to deduct money from a tenant's deposit. Once a landlord has provided us with their decision, our role is to negotiate any proposed deposit deduction with the outgoing tenant. If agreement cannot be reached, we submit the evidence that we hold to the DPS arbitration team that form a final view on the matter. Contrary to the detail contained within your review, the DPS determined that the landlord should retain some money from your deposit as the property was proven to be returned in a damaged and dirty condition. I hope that the detail outlined above provides some context to your frustration and that you can better understand our role in supporting you and in managing any tenancy. GoogleWe used martin & co after speaking to many different estate agents. Jonathan sold us the dream by showing as much passion to sell our property as we had, and with his swift response to taking pictures and signing a contract, we were on the market within a couple days which suited us as we went away for a week and had several viewings in the first week. Unfortunately we had a buyer who pulled out on our sale but Emily soon had another offer on the table within a couple weeks which meant we could still proceed with our purchase. Emily chased the solicitors and other parties regularly and kept the ball rolling which meant we completed in around 8 weeks which is good at Christmas time. Would highly recommend and I thank all at martin & co and wish you all the best in the future.

When we decided to sell our place they were, again, proactive in getting the place on the market, if a little slow initially. Here, a special mention goes to Emily. Once she was on board, things started moving much more quickly. Excellent communication skills to ensure all parties were well informed and up to date on developments.

GoogleChristie Young Accounts Martin @ Co has always provided a very good service. I have been with the company Executive Lets since the 80's and the transition over to Martin @ Co went smoothly. Yes like all companies there are hic ups but I find they are very good at giving a good service. Would not consider moving from them Christie replies to any question's I have and I very satisfied.

GoogleMartin & Co (Emily) are currently representing me and my elderly father during the sale of his property in Plymouth. Martin & Co were the obvious choice based on a visit from Tom earlier in the year where he explained the whole process to us. He was extremely professional, friendly and considerate to our particular needs. I have spoken to a number of the staff and cannot fault any of them. We were assigned Emily as our main point of contact and she has been wonderful. She hit it off with my father when they first met and was always happy to stay and chat with him over a cuppa, which he really appreciated. Since he has moved out of the property (and away from the area) Emily has kept us up to date with regular calls. She even looks in on the property for us when there ar no viewings to make sure all is ok. We have recently had a leak and Emily has provided us with photos of the problem and has also arranged for local tradesman to gain access to diagnose the fault and quote for repairs. Nothing is too much trouble and we are extremely grateful for Emily's help with everything.

Very grateful for the personal feel of the viewing and will definitely use Martin&Co as a letting agent in the future because of this. GoogleA breath of fresh air and most highly recommended for sales and purchases; I only wish we had shifted from other Mutley plain Estate Agents earlier, and who each made a chaotic, bewildering and complete mess of simple tasks. Tom's careful analysis of the market and trends helped decide which of our properties to sell, which ones to let and which ones to keep at a turbulent time in the markets. We were also 'picky' about whom we would sell to, as we would retain freehold interest in the sales and AST landlord interests in the lets (We didn't take the letting service as proportionately too expensive). Emily and Jonathan both rose to the sales challenges extremely well, and sifted out buyers who did not fit. No easy task, but neatly and courteously done, with Emily truly excellent at chasing up through some strangely difficult buyers' solicitors buyer procrastination. Jonathan's enthusiasm was infectious and his professionalism and courtesy in customer care was exemplary (and a pleasure, too). Overall a thoroughly pleasant and decent office, earning high praise and to whom we shall return in the Spring for the next couple of properties to go on the market. We have bought and sold a large number of properties over the years, in various towns, but Martin & Co's performance exceeded them all by a wide margin.
