Poor if not hopeless customer relationship , quick to push off complaints , insensitive remarks , we quickly lost faith in the ability to conduct our house sale for us , we felt that they were allowing strangers into our property , leaving lights on and sweet wrappers , when we brought this to the agents notice he remarked perhaps it was a polterguist,,,, knowing full well about the recent death of my wife’s mother , an unnerving and cold remark , and certainly not a comment n agent would make to help the house sale , further instructing a friend to deal with the legal work , for the purchasers , and the legal friend delayed with reply’s to our solicitor, increasing costs for both sides , overall shabby

Trustpilot7 year experience? Dreadful, disgraceful and dodgy
Have rented through Cheffins for over 7 years and its genuinely been such a rubbish experience.
We would like to reiterate that we always promptly act upon repair requests from tenants as soon as they are brought to our attention. However, as previously explained, we cannot authorise any repairs without the specific consent of the landlord. Please note that we have an official complaints procedure in place and you can email your complaint to complaints@cheffins.co.uk and we will respond expediently. Dear Mr Savage, we have reviewed your files and we understand that Helen Pettit is dealing with the issues which you have raised. From our records, we can also see that all of your correspondence has been dealt with as expediently as possible. Helen has advised that she will be discussing matters with you later today in a bid to resolve matters.

GoogleIf you are a landlord avoid using the Newmarket Branch to manage your property like the plague. I am a tennant and the staff are absolutely useless. They are also very rude and unprofessional. I am constantly chasing up emails, things that need fixing etc. Communication is shocking at the best at times, non existent at worst. I feel sorry for the landlord who is probably completely unaware of how rubbish they are.NegativeResponsiveness, Quality, Professionalism

GoogleI had a very good experience with Cheffins, our property sold very quickly and the staff were helpful and courteous. Richard, who dealt with us was very friendly and his advice was professional and well considered, he even came back on a sunny day to take an external photo for the details as it was dull and overcast when the rest of the photos were taken. They seem to be in touch with the local area and the marketplace in general, their services were very professional and based on my experience, I would recommend them.

GoogleWhen you're relocating to another country, the most important thing is to find a nice place to live and someone you can confide in helping you achieve that goal. Doing that remotely during a pandemic, those odds become even harder. Niamh Plaxton from Cheffins in Newmarket helped me enormously in achieving that goal and her professionalism was second to none. GoogleWe were extremely happy with the service provided by Cheffins Newmarket. They managed to secure a sale on our home quite quickly and were honest and upfront about their valuation. Even after the sale had been agreed they were always helpful in following up with the Buyer where we were finding it difficult to get information from the other sides solicitors. Would highly recommend to anyone selling in the area.

GoogleI had the dubious honour of buying the house that cheffins had on their books for the longest time, which it has to be said is something two other estate agents failed sell before it ended up with Cheffins. Aside from a slight hiccup half-way through the buying process (which to be fair took 18 months) when the person we were dealing with left the company, they were a pleasure to deal with and kept in contact throughout. They were always willing to send someone over to let us view the house, which we did many times over that year and a half. This was a difficult purchase for many reasons entirely unrelated to the estate agent, and they dealt with it efficiently and with good humour throughout the buying process.
