I am delighted to write a review of the letting agency that helped me find a beautiful property. From the very beginning, the team was professional, courteous and attentive to my needs. They listened carefully to my requirements and provided me with a range of options that fit my criteria. One agent, in particular, stood out from the rest. Daniel was exceptional in his approach to finding me the right property. He was patient, knowledgeable and always available to answer my questions. His attention to detail and his willingness to go above and beyond to ensure that I found the perfect property made all the difference. Throughout the process, Daniel kept me informed and made sure that I was happy with every step. I am renting a property managed by Mansons for around three months now. When I first moved into my apartment in Jesmond, I was a little anxious due to various issues/conditions I had with the apartment and my previous experiences with some other agents. Understandably, after moving house I was a little stressed and could have done without worrying about various spots of maintenance with my new home etc. After my check-in I was not exactly expecting a quick turnaround, as I had already paid my final balance and signed my contracts. What surrpised me most, was after assessing my queries and issues I had, Mansons put into action what they could do straight after gaining confirmation from the landlord. The landlord did not agree to every query I had, which of course is understandable, but the ones agreed to were dealt with by Mansons in a professional and efficient manner. Contractors were distributed to the property and I was given more than enough notice for the resulting works to be done. I would normally be reluctant allowing a stranger into my new home after previous experiences, however Mansons and the contractors they use made me feel secure and I have no reservations about them gaining access with keys in my absence from now. Overall the manner and conduct in the service I received from lettings right through to property management, although I did not receive everything I wished, was a vast improvement. Special mention to Angela, Cyndi and Samantha in the management team. - John C

Terrible service. Tenants are treated in a way of harassment. The staff is rude, demanding and not following legal procedures in line with the Housing legislation, particular Ms Debbie Smith, who introduced herself as the department manager. During 5 months she has been asked to do repairs in relation to health and safety hazard, later on electrics and boiler and some other things, which were declined on the grounds it was unsafe for contractors to enter. She threatened to end the tenancy without following legal procedures and acted in a way to force tenant leave. Without clarification , she returned 2 months rent, claiming later that tenant was not paying and as per this the Landlord was not liable for their obligations under the tenancy. Recently she finally prebooked works to be done and required to move out for 5 days. The non refundable payment was made, but on the day the works supposed to start, they sent the information about the delay and requested to move out the following week, which could not be agreed due to financial loss and the reasons were explained. Ms Smith then turned to the property without prior notice and sent threatening emails demanding to leave. All the above, led to excessive stress with current medical treatment in place.

As letting agents they have always been pro-active in finding tenants each year, timely in getting quotes/repairs carried out and efficient in keeping the required paperwork up-to-date. More recently i have sold my apartment via their sales department (Deborah was my contact). Again the approach that i saw was professional, efficient and engaging. From finding prospective buyers through to completion of the paperwork/sale Deborah was a guiding hand and an essential help. Sept '21; Unfortunately the excellent service as described previously (and i am sure is still evident) has been overshadowed by the very disappointing 'check-out' experience. There is an awful lot one can say about this, but in short, be aware that when you end your agreement and check out, ensure you look into every single element of the property clean or you will be charged a disproportionate amount to rectify. Unfortunately, in the pandemic world we were unable to revisit after our cleaner visited and as such there was overlooked dust in the crease of a sofa, dust under a bed and on top of a cupboard, but what a simple 5 min hoover would fix a charge of £100 was made and even then evidence gathered showed they too missed the sofa crease! I don't doubt the service before and during our rental, but this left a particularly sour taste and when contested through the bond appeal process it was independently judged to have been too much and we got a proportionate refund. A lesson in diligence for future renters. "As a couple looking for our first rental property together we are truly grateful for the excellent service Mansons deliver. At every touch point, from phone enquiry, to viewing, to negotiating, to signing, to picking up the keys and the ongoing after service we have been very impressed. Kirstey has been personable, genuine and patient with our needs and challenging circumstances. Our big fear when we set out into the chasm of estate agent interaction was feeling like 'just another customer' but we came out of this feeling we were the only customers that mattered! Thank you!

Whilst looking for a new place to rent, a property we had found suddenly fell through and with only 4 weeks until the current tenancy was up it was a mad rush but Mansons could not have been more helpful! From the initial contact to getting me into a viewing asap right to the final steps of sorting out referencing. Very unusual to have no complaints about a property letting experience but Mansons have bucked the trend. Extremely welcoming and friendly staff who were always only an e-mail away with any of our queries. We would have a reply within 30mins with information about how they were going to fix the issue. All the affiliated maintenance teams were also friendly and very helpful. We were very fortunate to have stumbled across Manson, as students who are often taken for a ride by manipulative landlords.
