Hi Mujib, we're saddened to hear of the maintenance issues you have faced at the beginning of your tenancy and can appreciate why you would be disappointed these issues were present at your move in. As is standard process viewings were conducted by the team at Earley during the marketing of the property and an Inventory was conducted by a third party inventory clerk before your tenancy commenced, this meant we were aware of the overall the condition of the property however sadly as we would not have tested the toilet or shower we were not aware of these faults. When the issues were first reported to us we sought the Landlords approval to proceed with the repairs as we are required to do so and instructed a contractor to attend and undertake the works, regrettably due to the fact our contractors we use are third party it means we have no control of their workload, schedule or diary and in this instance the contractor we initially instructed to conduct the repairs could not complete these until mid-March; due to the necessity of the works we sourced another contractor to rectify these issues and it can be noted that these have now been undertaken with the shower being replaced and toilet repaired. We recognise the importance of all reviews and appreciate you giving us the chance to improve moving forward by providing us with your feedback about your experience, we would like to offer our apologies for the issues you have faced and that you feel the service you have received has not been up to the high standards expected of Romans. We really hope that we are able to deliver a level of service that you are happier with throughout the remainder of the tenancy and hopefully we can restore some your faith in our team here at Romans, perhaps if we are able to do this then you would consider editing your review to reflect this.
