Since then we have been using there talents to rent out our other Flat which has never remained empty in 7 year. Working with FJL has been an absolute pleasure. We're first time buyers without much experience in how the process works, and the FJL team were so professional, kind, helpful and human to work with. Whilst my sale fell through after 6 months this was nothing to do with my flat or the efforts of Charlie Saville who was amazing. My experience with Felicity J Lord was fantastic from viewing the flat all the way through to picking up the keys. My agent Akbar was so friendly and helpful, and I particularly rate these agents as they had a dedicated “move manager”, who kept things moving during the legal process of the purchase when the solicitors were being a complete nightmare and dragging things out for weeks and weeks longer than necessary. Shannon was great at this and I dread to think how long it would have taken without her. Everyone was so lovely and it makes me wonder why estate agents in general have a bad reputation because FJL could not have been better and went above and beyond - it’s conveyancing solicitors I now don’t trust! Also, they gave me a little gift box when I picked up the keys with a celebratory drink, and wee bits like soap and tea bags. I thought this was a really, really nice touch and showed that as a company they understand what you need when you’re moving house, which was true of my entire experience with them. Definitely recommend!

A word of caution to prospective sellers. The geniality of the staff is matched only by startling immature approach to sales and customer relationships post instruction. Avoid Sole agency agreements: I was lulled into a false sense of trust and agreed to one in deference to their seemingly polite and reasonable nature, particularly in respecting my tenant. Check their term: Their contract drafts obfuscate the duration. Fortunately, I limited the duration to a few weeks, but their starting point is some 6-months and that is a not a place any seller wants to find themselves when things go wrong. They will hold you captive: They will not renegotiate the agreement even on previously available equitable terms. That is to say, under a Sole Agency agreement, they will hold you captive regardless of their performance of lack thereof. Lack of customer reach: A month into the instruction they managed only three viewings. All positive, but none that culminated with an offer. They make mistakes: They posted incorrect feature information on Rightmove (corrected when I highlighted) but were dismissive that this had anything to do with low viewings. They over value: In what seems to be a "bait and switch" they were specifically advised to value the property realistically for sale - not a market sounding, the price they recommended was and is too high (at least for them). Note that they rebuffed my advice that they were being excessively optimistic. They waste opportunities: By over valuing, my property is becoming stale and viewing are dwindling from an already near non existent level. They wish to reduce the price: So, whilst they will not countenance a renegotiation of terms from their side, they seek a variation from my side, namely reducing the price - the price they set unencumbered by any direction from me. I believe in working collaboratively with organisations to mutual gain. This organisation does not.

I loved buying my first home with Felicity Lord in Hackney. Lenny was so helpful from the very beginning, sorting out viewings around my schedule and always being responsive and punctual. He handled the house sale with calm and confidence and I always felt able to ask him questions and knew I was getting an honest answer. He was open and up-front and always polite and professional. Looking for a new place to rent or buy? you couldn’t be in better hands! From the moment I popped in to ask about a listing, the team could not have been more helpful or commutative. Special shout out to Faisal who has been my go to throughout the process. Prompt with communication and open, it’s really nice that as agents they have a good relationship with there tenants and landlords. This became very evident on my viewing where Faisal was able to answer all my questions and advise on the best course of action moving forward. On acceptance of my offer, their online portal makes everything easy, simply upload your details etc and they look after the rest. I’ve got a little bit of a wait before I move into my new place but can’t wait to pick up my keys from the team. WHOOP!
