Having switched on estate agent makes a huge difference in making things happen and that is exactly what we got. Castles has been extremely helpful and communicative the entire time we were looking for and found a flat for rent. We had a specific set of needs that needed to be met and they did that. In particular, the agent Josh went above and beyond to make sure we found the right place and all our needs were met (multiple pets, locations etc) Josh was invaluable to us through the entire process. We chose Castles over a number of others because Dave Sipple, who came to value the house, did not try to BS about its value and seemed to understand how to sell in this area. Once we had put it on the market with Castles Dave was courteous and professional throughout the process of viewings and offers, and then in liaising with us about the sale as it proceeded. It was an absolute pleasure working with David, Max and the team at Castles Hackney. David and Max were friendly and always at the other end of the phone whenever you needed them, they possessed very good knowledge of the property market both local and beyond; taking time to understand our needs and concerns. They demonstrated empathy at all times and they almost became part of the family during the process whilst maintaining their professionalism; a balance which must have been hard to strike given they were working with so many variables in addition to the circumstances surrounding the global pandemic I cannot thank them enough for their support and professionalism throughout. And despite all the odds we successfully exchanged and completed on the sale as well as a purchase simultaneously. David has exceptional people's skills as well as in diplomacy which were both required at various points during very difficult negotiations and conversations between seller and buyer. We have just completed on the purchase of our first property, and we are extremely happy with the service Castles  provided. Over the last 12 months we have viewed over a dozen different properties with several different agencies. With other agencies, we often felt  pressured to get it done as quickly as possible, but with Castles we never felt rushed at all. Both Max and Josh were friendly and informative while also giving us space and time to make the most of our viewings. They also never made us feel like we were being a hassle when we went back for second (and third and fourth!) viewings. Max was brilliant at getting an idea of what type of property we were after, and managed to pick out some properties we loved, that we hadn't spotted in our searches. He also never pressured us to view somewhere we didn't like/couldn't afford (something most the other agencies seem to do). We have Max to thank for finding the flat we finally had an offer accepted on- getting us in before it had gone on the market. He really nailed what we were looking for. Throughout the buying process, he was communicate and easy to get hold of. One thing we were hugely grateful of was his honesty when answering questions about the property. If he didn't know the answer, he was open about it and would quickly find out. This was a refreshing change from other experiences elsewhere, where we often felt we were being "blagged". We'd like to thank Max and Castles for all their help in getting our foot on the ladder. We wouldn't hesitate in recommending them.

We are very happy with the service we received from Castles. Max worked consistently to get our house purchase through, even making visits to the vendor to help with their side of things. He ensured that relations between the two parties flowed and remained positive. I was initially reluctant to view this property, but Max gently persisted. After sitting down with four different agents we as a family (myself representing my Granddad) decided to go with Castles. And I must say it was the best decision we made! Being first timers in selling and buying we first met David who was a true gent - honest, informative and patient. He assured us with everything he could and would do and he delivered on it all. Even going out of his way to help us find a property in our chosen area in which he had extensive knowledge on. Along with David, Josh was a superb agent when it came to communicating with myself on clients viewing our home. And then there was Max, who communicated with myself in a way I couldn't have asked for more. Every doubt or question we had as a family he answered. Every text or call he responded instantly! He kept us up-to-date with everything and never left us in the dark when it came to the negotiating and collaborating with our final buyer. He like David, even went out of his way to help us with the home we was purchasing by representing us with the agent - which really he didn't have to do as it wasn't part of his job to. But being a gent, he did, and now my Granddad is downsizing into a lovely home he and the whole family adore. I can't thank them enough. Honestly, we was a little nervous at first with whoever we went with but the team at Castles eased those nerves and delivered! For those doing it for a relative (an elderly especially who can be anxious a lot of them time) these guys are the agents to use! We cannot recommend Castles (Hackney) enough. The support we received from the team was simply outstanding. Due to issues with our buyer’s solicitor a lot of things went wrong and the whole exchange and completion process turned into an absolute nightmare. Ela Yildiz, who looked after our sale, went out of her way to liaise with our buyer and her solicitor, to talk to the agents in the chain and to try find solutions to help move things forward. She always kept us up to date and it took a lot of her time. We were still facing issues with solicitors a day before completion and we were really struggling to keep our calm but Ela’s kindness and professionalism really helped us go through all of it. If it was not for her I honestly don’t know if we would have completed at all.

Over this period I have rented the property and now sold the flat, again all with Sandro’s invaluable help. I sold my house through Castles, having purchased it through them a few years earlier. The second time round it was a new team. David, the branch manager, was excellent and I liked him from our first meeting. We agreed a good strategy and, despite a Brexit time lag, it broadly worked. Max was my day to day contact and in charge of the sale. I had tenants in the property and they were a handful but he managed them perfectly. We got a good number through the door in the end and the right buyer was found. Good advice and customer service from both. Good fee structure as well. All round we were very pleased to have used them.

Really good experience with my flat renting. They helped me find a new property, were really flexible with the viewings appointments and the times. They were really honest and always listened to my suggestions. Really professional service and all secure. Their office in Hackney gives a great customer service and they look after you. Will definitely recommend to rent with them. Also the state agent in charge if the Renting was really nice to us, he was really patient with us and never forced us to buy or to accept the property on the viewings like many others do. At the viewing appointment, when they describe the property they were honest and they didn't hide any detail or lied to us in order to sell, like many other agents do. I didn't find no issue at all with them. I felt really secure because they look after you and are interest on your needs and what are you looking for instead of just trying to make you fit in what ever house with bad conditions. Definitely the best Estate agent I've deal with so far!!!!!

David Sipple of their office came round within 90 minutes of our first calling, brought three potential buyers round the next working day (one of whom ended up buying the property), remained exceptionally helpful, proactive and easy to contact throughout the transaction, doing things like organizing a gardening consultant's visit at short notice when a particular question came up, and gave immediate and sensible advice whenever we asked for it. Josh Newton was an absolute superstar when I was searching for my property. He was proactive, helpful and informative.
