Castles were exceptional every step of the way in my home purchase, even though I had to pull out in the end due to major issues with solicitors on both sides. Ela was always responsive and positive, and extremely helpful in negotiating with the vendors, getting me access to the property when showing surveyors and builders, communicating with solicitors (despite them being very unresponsive) and giving insights on the steps of the buying process. Josh was always on hand to step in for major points like price renegotiation and gave a balanced and fair view of things to both sides. Overall, I would certainly recommend Castles and it is a shame things didn’t work out in my particular case.

We had a long, drawn-out buying process, including one failed purchase. Josh was utterly brilliant from start to finish, offering massive amounts of support, guidance and empathy every step of the way. He's quick, efficient, attentive, diplomatic and knowledgeable, and looked after us amazingly through our second attempt at buying - which was successful, all thanks to him. His team stepped in when he was unavailable or more support was needed. Really couldn't recommend Castles enough, we're hugely grateful to everyone!

Max was our point of contact at Castles he was excellent throughout the selling process and we cannot recommend him and the team at Castles highly enough. Max worked tirelessly on our sale going through and nothing seemed too much for him even when there were several phone calls a day between us he was always easily contactable and always returned calls. He always kept everyone updated at all times working with both us, the buyers and our solicitors. He managed to steer everyone through the complicated bumps in the road of the selling and buying process often suggesting ways of compromising between ourselves and the buyers. We found Max to be extremely professional, knowledgeable, amenable, and good humored throughout what can be a very stressful process & time. Thanks Max and the team at Castles.

Having had a ‘not so great’ experience with another Hackney Estate Agent it was a fantastic to meet Sandro and Talha. From the moment they took on the property they were open, honest and gave consistently brilliant advice. The flat was only on the market for a week before I got an offer and from that moment forward they were in touch multiple times a week and ensured they were pushing myself, the buyer and the solicitors to ensure the sale went through smoothly. I had one friend who had raved about how great they were and I have since put two friends on to Sandro and Talha who have had the same brilliant experience. Do not go anywhere else! We recently both sold our flat, and purchased a new home through Castles Hackney. In both cases we found their dedication and professionalism to be outstanding. They consistently went above and beyond in their commitment to completing our chain, through what could otherwise have been a very stressful set of circumstances arising due to the pandemic. We spoke to many agents in the area and from the beginning, Max and David were honest, informative, and inspired total confidence. They have incredibly sound knowledge of the market in the area, were frank without being uncaring, proactive without being pushy, and were above all excellent communicators throughout, even responding to us out of hours to help move things forward. They could be relied upon not just to call back when they said they would, but to have the answer to any questions and reassure any anxieties. They did a stellar job in facilitating additional communication through the chain, from our vendor to ourselves and through to our buyer, and keeping us consistently updated on all developments. We have today completed on the sale of a Buy to Let flat in Hackney. We chose Castles as we preferred their personal touch to that of the big boys! Max was our lead and at all times was appropriately friendly, approachable but very professional. He dealt with empathy with our tenants who had to be disturbed for viewings. He assisted in quite quickly securing a reasonable price in difficult Covid times. The process then was as painless as it could be with Max, without fail, proactively chasing down actions. He did what he said he would do without delay. On the occasions when Max wasn't in the office his colleagues Josh and David covered matters seamlessly. We recently completed the sale of our 3 bedroom flat in Clapton and cannot speak highly enough of the Castles team for their assistance. Max was our main point of contact and was such a great help. We had thought about using an online service to keep costs down but in the end were so pleased we had Castles on board. Through no one's fault the sale took 6 months from buyer's offer to completion, all with our baby's due date looming. Max was always on hand to discuss the many matters as they arose with helpful and constructive advice. He even made himself available when he wasn't working, which was hugely appreciated - on the one occasion he wasn't available he handed over to David and Josh who picked things up seamlessly. We chose Max and Castles because they always demonstrated really good local market knowledge, are reasonable and not pushy but always commercial. Would readily recommend.

We looked hard for the right agent to sell our flat in London. Mid pandemic the market was volatile and we needed a team that could appeal to and understand the needs of our potential buyers, as well as securing a reasonable sale price that stood firm. David, Josh and Max at Castles didn’t disappoint. David was always available, reliable and honest and remained our single point of contact throughout. He had a great manner and relatability and Josh and Max were always there to help when he couldn’t. We liked Castles because they felt like a local agent who really knew the area and what was reasonable in negotiations. In just 10 days they secured us an offer 15k over the asking price, which held to the point of sale. Hackney council suffered a cyber attack in this period which made selling challenging, but they did everything they could to smooth the process over. A highly professional, reliable and likeable team.

We recently sold our flat in Clapton (amidst the pandemic) and had a really positive experience with Castles. David came round to value our flat and stayed close throughout. We had one buyer fall through (no fault of theirs) but David and josh were super proactive and got us another buyer for asking price within a couple of weeks. David in particular was so proactive throughout, reassuring us when the buyers solicitor was taking longer than expected, and with so many unforseen issues such as the EWS1 reports and Hackney Council experiencing a cyber attack and not being able to complete the searches. I had been looking to buy a new home in Hackney since September of last year and I was reliant upon upon David Sipple at Castles Estate Agents to make sure this became a reality. He did everything he could to prevent and minimise delays and on several occasions provided much needed assurance that things were progressing according to plan. Exceptional. I doubt I'm alone when I say that my previous dealings with Estates agents (particularly in London) has been less than enjoyable (understatement) and quite frankly exhausting. From the moment I walked in to Castles to the moment I was handed my keys Josh and the team were fantastic. They will not waste your time with 'stock' they want to get off the shelf and actually tailor the search for you. Josh was honest with the upsides and the things to consider before making an offer for the properties - I didnt have to sift through emails of rubbish. It was a breath of fresh air. Furthermore I worked with their referred solicitors and mortgage broker - equally fantastic. If you have the choice of selling or buying with Castles - Josh, David and the team are the guys for the job.
