Don’t bother booking a viewing

Me and my friend booked a viewing with Anna at X1 the Gateway in Manchester for Saturday 29th April at 12:15. We turn up and wait for half an hour and still no show of anyone. We tried ringing the lettings office number twice and no answer, so we drove to the lettings office to speak to someone. An asian man (I think his name was Tushnar) answered the door and I explained to him that no one had showed up to our viewing. He apologised and said Anna is off sick. He also said that he can’t leave the office due to it only being him in there so he was going to book us in for a viewing the following day at 2pm (Sunday 30th). He stated that it will be with Anna again or if not then it will be someone called Ashley. We turn up today at 2pm and the same thing happened no one showed up. We rang the office again 3 times and no answer so we went to the lettings office again. It was the same man from yesterday and I explained that someone hadn’t shown up for the second time. He stated that he never got round to booking us in for today (Sunday 30th) because he was too busy. We didn’t get a single phone call or email either of the days to tell us that either of the viewings weren’t going ahead and that he didn’t even book us in for the Sunday in the end. Me and my friend are so angry that X1 have wasted both of our time travelling and paying for parking on both days for our viewings to not go ahead. He also stated that no one would have answered the phone today due to him being out on viewings when yesterday he said that he couldn’t leave the office because he was the only one there ?? Completely contradicting his excuses. I completely understand if staff are off sick but it would’ve been nice to have been informed by a phone call or email to tell us this. And he also promised that we were going to have a viewing today when he didn’t even book us in the second time. Disgusting customer service.

All my thanks to Harrison and the X1 team

I was in a really desperate situation to move in to somewhere as soon as possible, as I had already started work and hadn’t managed to actually move into Liverpool after being let down by multiple estate agents. Thanks to Harrison though he was able to help me out as best as he could to get me a place as soon as possible, although I know he had multiple people interested in the place it felt like he gave personal and directed effort towards me to help me as much as he could. Through the application process I was in the X1 lettings office and making calls most days to try and hurry the process as best I could, although I’ve worked in customer service for a long time and I know how much of a hassle I was probably making myself Harrison made plenty of time to listen to me every time I came in or called, as well as encouraged me to keep on coming in if there were any more problems. I genuinely don’t think I would have got as good of a place so quickly anywhere else and I would directly attribute that to Harrison and the X1 teams effort towards being personable, knowledgeable and efficient.

Anyone familiar with the referencing process would understand the value of being consistently informed throughout. The flat that was shown to me was in superb condition, and Laiqah made sure to guide me through each part of the flat, even going so far as to suggest the most suitable WiFi service.
