I have rented out my property in Leeds City Centre for a couple of years with Martins. There were problems with my first tenants and some of the internal processes at the company at that time however they actioned and rectified the issues with professionalism. Isobel took over my account and I have worked with her during the past 6 months - she is always on the other end of the phone, very responsive on email and always eager and happy to help. I appreciate the team’s commitment and enthusiasm to finding new tenants for my property and having overcome initial difficulties would work with them again in the future.

I've decided to look for a flat with Martin & Co. Leeds City after having a good experience with Martin & Co before. However, the experience with Martin & Co Leeds City has been even better this time. We all know how stressful it is when moving houses across a city, yet moving across the country may, for some, become even more difficult such as myself. The help and service I've been provided by Lauren has been absolutely incredible and I am very grateful. From the very first time we've met in the office of Martin & Co., Lauren has gone above and beyond. She has always responded to my emails immediately, she even took a step further and called me a couple of time to make sure the application process is going well, as well as to make sure I don't stress about the whole process either. The whole application process has been successfully done with the first two weeks after viewing the property. I'm collecting the keys for my new flat this upcoming Wednesday and I'm surely going to thank Lauren in person for her incredible help. I would definitely recommend Martin & Co Leeds City to whoever decided to move to Leeds. Thank you.

We employed Martin and co (city branch) for over 6 years to manage our apartment. We had continuous issues with staff changing over, no one taking over the management of the property. We were charged huge bills for what should have been small repairs. When our latest tenant moved out we found the apartment was in shocking condition, curtains hanging down, painting patches, furniture ruined. When we asked Martin and co for us to call us back we were told the Director of the Leeds branch was “too busy” to talk with us. She never called us back after repeated attempts. Absolutely appalled they can get away with the level of service, we are severely out of pocket due to Martin and co’s negligence.

The Trusted AgentI have been a tenant with Martin and Co since 2012. In order to rate an agent, I reckon communication as one of the main factors that would determine the rating of the agent. As a tenant, all I can say is that unlike other agents, Martin and Co have been well prepared in terms of communication and quick responses. Dealing with Lauren Schofield was impressive, where she responds to my concerns/ maintains requests promptly with a high level of affability and professionalism. Thank you for your quick reply, it has been much appreciated. I would definitely recommend Martin and Co and would definitely come back in the future.

I originally wanted to view a property but as it was very popular, it was booked up. However, Holly kept me updated and when there was an availability, she got in touch with me and very efficient to say the least. When I turned up at the property and met Holly, she greeted with a smile, was friendly, welcoming, positive and upbeat which I believe is the perfect way to be if you are providing customer service on a daily basis. Well, the apartment in general was not what I expected, very cluttered and messy but with Holly's good, warm personality and information she provided with regards to the apartment, it softened the blow of how bad the apartment looked. With that being said, although I did not proceed with the property, I can highly recommend Holly as a brilliant agent, a lot better than most I have encountered throughout my time of property viewings!

Dealing with Martin & Co is completely fine. They are professional, courteous and generally nice people. The problem arises because they act as a middle man between client and landlord, you don't even get the landlord's phone number, which is understandable. I viewed a property which looked fairly smart. When I moved in however, the landlord had touched up various bits of paintwork which is an entirely different shade to the original and now looks very patchy. There was also a throw covering a giant hole in one of the couches, the other couch was fairly worn and the springs had gone meaning sitting on it was massively uncomfortable. Yet they delivered only one sofa which, again, was a completely different shade to the other sofa. It looks completely ridiculous. The landlord is quite possibly the tightest alive. If there was a bit of give and take I would of painted the property properly, but investing my own money and effort into a "furnished" property when you are delivered a couch a completely different colour to the other is simply overkill. I've given up complaining and simply going to see out my tenancy. Although this is not Martin & Co's fault directly, because of the way they are set up they simply MUST shoulder some of the blame. I cannot wait to move out and I've only been a tenant for 3 weeks. I think it's hit and miss depending on which landlord you get and your willingness to be on the phone constantly to complain and argue your point. I would like to reiterate that they do try and help you out wherever they can and the problems do lie with the landlord.

The Trusted AgentI've rented through Martin & Co in Leeds for over three years now, and I've recently requested to renew my tenancy in January for a further twelve months which hopefully illustrates that I find this agency very dependable and professional. I have for those three years almost exclusively dealt with Lauren Schofield whom I consider to be particularly efficient and equally likable. And despite how undoubtedly busy she is every day, she is always keen to be as helpful as possible whilst having a reassuring and calm manner about her which I personally believe is a great attribute in any circumstances but especially in a role such as Lauren's. I sincerely hope I continue to have her in my corner for as long as I stay with Martin & Co. Ben Clarkson. West Point.

When we bought a flat in Leeds, Helen went the extra mile time after time to bring about the sale, especially when the negotiation was difficult and the transaction was held up for some time. She is a pleasure to deal with - efficient, prompt and true to her word, The first estate agent we've met who does what she says she will do and rings you back with a progress report. Also extremely helpful managing letting details for our flat, which she looks after for us (particularly important to us because we live in France). She is thoroughly deserving of the 'Golden Best Estate Agent on Planet Earth Award'' There is no competition worthy of the name.

My husband & I live in Hong Kong & were in Leeds for 2 days over the Summer looking for an investment property to buy to let. We couldn't have been happier with the professionalism & speed at which Helen worked - she showed us the perfect flat on our first day & only second property so knew exactly what we were looking for & didn't waste our time. Steven's help was much appreciated in finding tenants for our flat & car park space (literally the weekend after the contracts of S&P exchanged) - my husband & I were amazed at how quickly he did it - they moved in the following week paying the full asking rental no questions asked; sending us the background check report before they got he keys. Both were very responsive on emails, friendly & informal which we liked & provided practical answers to our questions. If you're overseas, want to invest in Leeds & looking for a great trusted service I would highly recommend Helen as your primary trusted adviser & manager with Steven as your lettings manager. We would go back to them both in a heartbeat when we want to invest again. Thanks again Martin & Co!

The agent who viewed the property after my son and and I thoroughly cleaned the flat at blue hill lane in Leeds just before leaving a 5 year tenancy has told me today 11 Sept that the flat was very clean when he viewed after we left. My son had been an exemplary tenant. Paid his rent no problem for the full five years. He was a model tenant! Now they want £85 for a 'light clean' out of the deposit. (A LIGHT CLEAN 😂). The flat needs full decoration before someone moves in. ( in my opinion ). Although I have been informed that the new tenant will decorate it for them. (Bonus for the landlord 🤑😀). Rather than thanking my son for being a good tenant of 5 years. NO NOTHING LIKE THAT! It's Money on their mind. Shame on them. Was it worth £85. Arbitration will no doubt view our photos of the clean and video evidence and not allow this poor choice to try and squeeze a little more money from my son. That's why the rental sector needs that regulation because some humans do not know how to behave. I don't rate the way that you have finished the tenancy. It is an insult. You had an opportunity to say thanks for his tenancy and wish him well. You didn't. You'd rather try get £85 for a light clean. What is a light clean? A huff and rub Update: It seems that this may be the landlord at work and not Martin and Co. And I will contact Martin and Co to ask for support for the case of Arbitration at the DPS.
