GoogleLucy and the team at MG are nothing short of amazing! After speaking with several other agents to list and manage the sale of our property, we decided to instruct MG and what a great decision it was! When Lucy came to value our home, she was down to earth, honest and didn't try to flog us a list of corporate nonsense (unlike other local agents) and made us feel confident in their abilities as a smaller independent estate agent. Kat came to take photos of the property and again, was lovely, down to earth and really respectful of our home! - the photos/3D tour looked amazing! We were also looking to purchase a property in the local area, and the MG team took note of the exact type of property we would like to buy, again Lucy came through with our ideal home, knowing it was exactly what we wanted. Lucy took us to view the property, and we fell in love.. a few days after.. it was ours! The entire MG team made us feel as though our home was the only property on their radar, and that they would nurture the entire process from start to finish and they really have done just that - despite being a busy agent with plenty of other lovely homes under their management, it has been nothing short of a pleasure from valuation to offer accepted! In what can be a really stressful step in life, Lucy, Kat and the MG team made us feel at ease with their friendly yet professional approach - we would recommend them to anyone! GoogleZoe does not have a clue about how to do her job. She is extremely ignorant and only replies when asked to by other people. The manager is very rude and obnoxious in fact I’m not sure that any of the staff has a clue what they are doing. Zoe served an illegal section 21 on us when we refused to agree to an illegal rent increase. When we did move out she agreed time and date to do inspection and collect keys then failed to turn up. She said she had not made the appointment. There were 2 electrical safety inspections on property within a month or so of each other both saying property needed extensive work. Zoe then failed to pick up on an electrical safety certificate being issued by another electrician knowing no repairs had taken place at all. The staff in this office seem not to care about the tenants. Zoe told me that our landlord paid them not the tenant so they were not interested in what the tenant had to say.

We have had a great experience with Michael Poole. From start to finish, they have done everything we asked, advice, requests, changes to marketing, extra photos, videos, social media plugs, nothing was too much trouble. In particular, I would like to thank, Emma, Isobel, Kirby and then Helen. It has been an excellent service in the most difficult of circumstances and using the In house Conveyancers was a bonus too. GoogleOctavia oversaw the sale of our house. She booked 6 viewings within the first week and managed to get us a full asking price offer within 2 weeks of our house being on the market. I'm not always easy to get hold of working shifts, but if I couldn't answer she always left a voicemail or email to keep me up to date. Everything has gone really smoothly, and she's now passed us on to the sales progression team with us accepting an offer on our house. She's been brilliant for us from start to finish, thanks Octavia!

I do not understand how this firm is rated 4.8 when 10% of the reviews are 1 star and nearly all are complain about misrepresentation. I HAVE COMPLAINED TO TRUSTPILOT ABOUT THIS BUT HAVE BEEN IGNORED. Estate Agents generally hide behind caveat emptor rules to enable the vendor to hide undesirable aspect of the property for sale. But this the first time (and I have bought and sold many houses in my life time) I have come across a fact stated in a advert that was known to be untrue by the agent. I complained to the Managing director Richard Poole by email and written letter but both were ignored. However copies of these sent to the auctioneer were acted upon. Personally I will avoid this estate agent and recommend others to do so.
