GoogleWe were looking to rent a relatively short term apartment. It was quite challenging, with lots of chasing required to various agents. Maria at collinson hall however was a complete star, very good communication, lovely friendly personality and professional. We are very happy with the service we received.

GoogleI am very happy to recommend Collinson Hall particularly Kim Raeburn who is my star and has gone over and beyond to assist with the maintenance issues and my improvement requests with my property I am renting. She was definitely tested and it's reassuring to be with an Agent who provides after-sales service in such a helpful manner and actually listens and does all they can to assist. It has made the world of difference. GoogleI have used Collinson Hall several times for renting and managing my properties and each time has been a great experience.Recently Emma and Samantha found me a wonderful tenant and Elizabeth carries out the pre checks with great care and attention. Cristina has always been on hand with the managing of the properties to ensure everyone is happy- would highly recommend Collinson Hall!

Emma gave me a thorough run through of the property and its lease particulars before arranging a viewing - so I was assured my time wasn’t wasted on viewing unsuitable properties. Quick and again assuring response to the offer process, and her availability to my office drop ins and calls is keeping everything moving along.

GoogleI'm very pleased indeed with the way Collinson Hall are dealing with the sale of my house. They have a very good understanding of the St.Albans property market in general and on the area around my house in particular. John, Becky and Ron have all been very good in keeping me regularly updated on progress and the house is sold STC within a month of being put on the market. I got good background and contextual information from them , so that I feel I've been able to make well informed decisions on how to proceed with the sale. GoogleWe have just bought our first home with Collinson Hall and had a great experience! Becky and Alison have been amazing all the way through the process and kept us updated every step of the way (sometimes even faster than our solicitor could!) They were always on hand to offer their help and advice, which we really needed as first time buyers, and also recommend a great mortgage advisor for us as well! GoogleWe have just let out our first flat and so far we are very happy we chose to use Collinson Hall to manage our property. Daniela, from coming out to view the property, to finding tenants (found very quickly), and answering our many questions has been a delight to deal with, always so prompt and helpful with her responses. Suzanne has also been great at helping to set everything up, even when there were a few bumps in the road. It is very early days, but I have no doubt that the team and Cristina, our day to day contact will continue to be helpful and professional moving forward. This agency is extremely coniving and cunning. The staff that we dealt with were always blaming issues and repairs on the tenants us and trying to get us to pay for things that should be covered by the landlord. The staff on the phones are only looking out for the landlords best interests not the customers. They are constantly trying to swindle tenants by not carrying out necessary works to the property and asking for a raise in the rent with no intentions of fixing any current issues. They have also been extremely dishonest and greedy by trying to steal our deposit money and trying to justify taking it based on made up lies about cleaning. Avoid at all costs our landlord was only interested in his rent money and not maintaining the property and offcourse Collinson hall will stick by whatever the landlord wants even if it goes against regulations as long as they get their cut pushing customers to avoid paying maintenance costs etc.. AVOID AVOID AVOID

From the information in your review I don’t know who you are or which property/landlord this refers to otherwise I would have made contact directly to try to find a solution. As it is I cant respond or address your comments in any detail. If you don’t wish to engage directly with me/us, we have the TDS impartial arbitrators that will help resolve any disputes around deposit retention. We also have our own complaints procedure that you can follow if you have a complaint about the company or staff. Should you not be happy with the outcome of that process, you can refer the complaint to The Property Ombudsman, who will independently review your complaint and might make an award to you if we are found at fault. I know that deposit retention is a tricky area and we do try to be fair to all involved. I am very happy to look at this through our complaints procedure if you do not think you have been dealt with fairly. My name is Steven Walker and I am the Managing Director of Collinson Hall. GoogleHaving dealt with many letting agents in recent years, I can comfortably say that Collinson Hall provided us with the smoothest and kindest experience of any letting agent we have dealt with as tenants. Issues we reported were dealt with promptly and questions were always answered clearly for us. I would like to thank Collinson Hall for their service and cannot speak highly enough of them (particularly in comparison to the experiences we have had with other letting agents).

GoogleCH has been our property management agency for a number of years now and I cannot express how much I loathe their services. Nothing is done on time, we are treated with as little respect as possible. Would suggest to everyone to stay away from them! Oh and blocking people from leaving reviews is a very low game!
With regards to your review, I feel I should make a point of stating for the record, that we believe that we have gone above and beyond our contractual responsibilities to address all matters raised by Leaseholders at your development and in a professional and respectful manner. There are limits to what we can influence and as far as we have been able to we have responded to all queries and issues, promptly and have pushed the contractors and the surveyor to address all concerns raised by you and the other lessees during the course of these works. Perhaps our role has become blurred and I feel it important to make it clear that it is a third party surveyor that is appointed to and charged with contract administration (fundamentally their role is to oversee the building contract between the contractor and the client). We have found ourselves in the position of bearing the brunt of criticism when what we are doing is acting in accordance with our contractual arrangements (and beyond) in facilitating communication between the respective parties. We do acknowledge your frustration but would respectfully ask that you direct your angst at the people who are responsible. We will always try to assist but when we are being unfairly criticised for matters that are not under our control we do have to make it clear where those responsibilities lie; as we have done previously. Please note that we have no control over your ability to publish a review on Google unless you breach the Google Review Policy but that is down to them to decide.
